The Dating Meme

Dating is, when you think about, really weird. It's a totally different thing for different people. Some are friends for years before they date; others start dating on the same day they met. Sometimes, there's a lot mushy stuff involved; other times, the couple acts just like friends. None of this is necessarily right or wrong.

Whatever it is, your character and the character you reply to are now dating. How? That's up to you. Whether it be awkward or not, the relationship will be uniquely theirs.

1. Best Friends to More: Oh, wow, you've been this person's friend forever! But then you realize you have feelings for them, and they for you. Will things change when you change your status?

2. The Sudden Decision: Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here I am, date me maybe?

3. Confession: You've had feelings for this person for, like, ages, and you want to ask them to date you. Or maybe the confession just slips out...
4. Hate Date: You really don't like this person; actually, you hate them. But you don't want them to be with anyone else!
5. I Guess We're Dating: Huh. We are dating, aren't we? Everyone else knew before us...
6. Slow Decision: For the more mature and seasoned, they might fall into something sweet without needing to rush.
7. Been Burned Before: One of you has had a bad relationship, and now both of you have to bear that brunt if you want to date now.
8. Innocence: This is your first real relationship, so you have to figure it out together. That's harder than it looks.
9. Courting: You're from an old-fashioned world or are old-fashioned yourself, so it's courting, not dating. Still, maybe you can sneak away from the chaperon.

12. First Time: Together or in general.
13. The Perfect Couple: The couple that never argues and is more like best friends than a couple.
14. The Not-So-Perfect Couple: Ugh, these guys always argue and seem to despise each other. Why are they even together?
15. Comfortable: You can do anything around or in front of your honey.
16. Not Cut Out for Dating: One of you is anti-social, a jerk, a stoic badass, whatever. You're not dating material...yet here you are.
17. Getting on Each Others' Nerves: Spending too much time together can get even the most patient people annoyed with the person they're dating.
18. Know What You Like: It's almost like they can read your mind, whether it be in the kitchen, at the store, or in the bedroom.
19. Trouble in Paradise: Maybe it's external factors, or perhaps internal, but whatever the case may be, things aren't looking so sunny.

20. Test the Strength: Someone else has an obvious crush on the person you're dating. What do you do?
21. Pregnancy Scare: Hey, it happens. So, how do you feel when the period turns up missing?
22. Getting Serious: Things are getting way deep with this person. They may be the one...or maybe they think they are, while you're not too sure.
23. Old Hat: This relationship is dull. Can you get back the spark?
24. End It: You don't want to date them anymore. You want to see other people.
25. Taking It to the Next Level: You don't want to date them anymore. You want to marry them.

[ Perhaps not for the first time, but for the first conscious time, Belle thanks the rocks in the stream near her house for giving her more than adequate agility training. Now that she shimmies her way out of the small porthole window nestled between the chimney and the dented storm drain of the family cottage, each after-market-day trip she takes on pointed toes across the mossy stones, her basket in the crook of her elbow, prepares her for balancing on the low slope of the roof. The shingles (in a repair that belies the modesty of the house itself) are slick from yesterdays rain and occasionally stick to her skirts. A stray nail might even work a hole in her apron if she isn't careful as she eases slowly and quietly to the overgrown shrub that promises to be her escape.

Still, she can manage it all for precisely that - escape. For it's worth a smidge of awkwardness and some acrobatics to avoid Gaston's insistence that as her fiancé , he has the right to come into her home.

He's wrong on two accounts; primarily, the bit about him being her fiancé. As if she'd marry that awful, boastful...pig! On second thought, she'd much prefer to marry one of the pigs in the pen next door. Their manners and company are impeccable compared to Gaston. Certainly, they wouldn't threaten to make her prisoner in her own house.

But once she reaches the dip in the roof where branches and brambles meet the lowest plane of the building, she can slip downward and be free for a bit should he decide to "visit." Gaston doesn't know the secret place in the woods, he can't find her, she thinks as she edges toward the ledge of the overhang next to the cottage's side door.

A mop of warm brown hair. That's what she notices first as she peers down to the ground, even before she sees the shock of bright wildflowers. ]

[Cool! Pyrrha suffers from an awkward streak that may even be comparable to Peter’s; I think either of them trying to ask the other out and the other not getting it at all could be hilarious. Perhaps Pyrrha is involved in an AU version of the plot to defeat Thanos, whereby she’s a volunteer from another planet, and the teens are all thrown together as a ground unit?]

He had been seeing Peter for awhile now and while he'd enjoy it, something had changed. Peter didn't seem as happy when they met up after lunch, after class, after school, mornings as he used to. He couldn't exactly figure out why so he sought up Peter after chemistry, hiding behind the opened locker. As soon as Peter closed it he perked up.

"Hi, what's up babe?" he asked trying to keep a good mood, pushing away those pesky little doubts in the back of his head.

[Planning a date was easy. Planning a date for a guy that Crow still couldn't tell actually liked him or wanted to probably impale his sword through his stomach half the time, wasn't. And it wasn't from lack of skill, oh no, for he knew he was the master at event planning, but at the same time he could practically feel those ice blue eyes glaring a hole through him, even when Jusis wasn't in the room.

Time really does fly by and Newt really hasn't really thought about it until now. He had gotten expelled from Hogwarts and things after that became a bit of a blur. From being expelled to participating in the war to having a position in the Ministry. Life wasn't glorious by any means, but he had been getting by and that was honestly a pleasant surprise considering he wasn't sure where he'd be at.

A rather pleasant surprise was being commissioned to write a book. An opportunity that he didn't even consider refusing. It was exciting for him. While his mother and brother may not have been so happy with his job choice, he was very much happy with it. He of course told them, but he had immediately sent an owl to Albus about the news.

It was why he was currently hunched over a small table at a cafe waiting for the aforementioned man. A rendezvous of some sort. He knew the other to be rather busy, but was pleased nonetheless that they were willing to meet him person. It was a warm feeling that spread through his entire being and kept him warm despite the slight chill.

He was, of course, rethinking why he didn't just go to Hogwarts. It would have probably been far less crowded than where he was now. Hindsight really was 20/20 and he hoped the other would arrive soon as he was feeling more awkward by the second.]
