Izumo tipped his head back and looked up...and up. Then he recognized the face. "Oh...hi."

Normally he'd have laid a flirty opening line on such a handsome young man (because damn what a face), but when your respective organizations were playing political footsie with one another and you'd been warned against making moves on anyone until an alliance was actually decided on, well. It was really too bad someone's idea of a joke (enchanted mistletoe, really) had been moved to the doorway with the drinks behind it. Izumo had just wanted a drink and now...he was stuck with one of the more powerful pawns in play on the political chessboard.

Not that Konoha was fully on board with allying with the First Order: while they were a mercenary organization, and ninja tended to be fairly loose with their morals, Konoha as a village tended to be more tolerant and peace-minded than their bloodier neighbors. But they were probably the largest organized group of ninja, and thus when approached with the offer of an alliance they had played court appropriately. Hard not to with the figures involved, and a mercenary's loyalty lay to the highest bidder in many cases.

But not all cases.

Which left things a little uncertain and left Izumo in the position of potentially offending Kylo Ren and fucking everything up, all because of some damned mistletoe. (If he ever figured out who'd put the binding on it he was going to revenge-prank them so hard....)

Some supervillain had enchanted mistletoe to root random people to the spot until they kissed. It was a harmless enough act of chaos. From her own experiences with vigilante work, Alexandrine knew how desperate people could get during the holidays. This was benign. Still, bumping into a pretty girl with the most gorgeous red hair she'd ever seen wasn't what she'd expected when she left the house today, and she shifted from foot to foot, shyly.]
