Capturing Cyberlife's field RK800 is just the kind of job that Kane likes. Testing himself against a new model, getting to piss in Cyberlife's cheerios, maybe even help the nascent deviant movement a little. He's fought and beaten SQ800s for years, subduing a prototype created primarily for investigation hardly seems like a task outside of his capabilities.

Which isn't to say that he went in guns blazing. No, he might not be Weapon X anymore, but that doesn't mean he's any less of a professional. He's waited weeks for this, patiently studying his target from a distance, learning the RK800's patterns and capabilities. And it's a shame, because under different circumstances, him and 'Connor' could be friends.

Maybe that's why it's important that he take the RK800 off the streets, though. There's a deviant-ish streak of curiosity to Connor that could be very dangerous to Detroit's underground deviant community, given the RK800's mission of tracking down and apprehending deviants.

Of course, Kane is still at least half human. He's a cyborg, not a pure android. He can study a target for weeks, work out a intricate plan of attack that would disable Connor without seriously damaging him, and wait to the very day to execute that plan... only to be derailed by the human element and end up going at the RK800 half-cocked. And being human (and a bit of a hotheaded human at that), that's exactly what happens.

Ten violent minutes later, he's standing opposite the RK800 in an alley with three of his four prosthetic limbs blaring damage reports in his head and the rest of him, the human component, giving him its own atavistic form of a damage report. Turns out that while Connor might not be a pure combat unit, he is more than equipped to handle himself in hand-to-hand combat.

Still, that's not to say the fight's been one-sided. Kane's cybernetic arms can bring a lot of power to bear, and even if he's fighting to disable rather than destroy he still knows where to hit a droid to get its Thirium leaking. He might be bleeding red, but Connor's bleeding blue by the looks of him. His artificial left eye flashes, assessing the damage to his opponent.

Scanning...

"He was innocent, you know." Well, for a given value of innocent. Connor's target, the droid Kane went off half-cocked for, hadn't commited the crime DPD wanted him on suspicion of. He was still guilty of being a deviant, though. "You should have just let him go. He wasn't a threat to anybody."

[It is a very merciful thing that all of this (this being about twenty five things at the moment including but not limited to Trevor being somewhere that Alucard can't figure out; his sword being totally missing because a summoned hell hound decided to play fetch; the Ottoman dominance in the region introducing ghouls which fucking really) is not happening on the grounds of the castle. If it was, there would probably be about 200% more furious dhampir then there is at the moment, which is saying something given his current state.

So that's what it is right now. Blindly running through an oceanside town on the Black Sea that should be bustling instead of totally abandoned (the whole point had just been to take care of a few errands that couldn't be accomplished in the interior of Wallachia), horrible fog choking off visibility, all three split up.

There's a familiar shape up ahead though, at least Alucard thinks it's the right height. Night vision doesn't mean shit without clear skies.]
