[When you've lived and died for as long as Raven has, you find that little things like learning a new language or travelling farther than any man has any right to become a walk in the park. I mean, he's had 200 years to do this shit. Why not travel and try to solve the one fucking problem he's got that hasn't yet solved itself? Not like he's welcome back home right now.

Travelling to Japan after hearing rumours of constant warring is a pittance, really. And it's a simple matter of listening for the most prominent warriors; if there is one thing he's become excellent at, it's listening. Does he hear about some upstart young daimyo with six swords? Hell yeah. Does he hope that at least one of those somehow has the power to off him for good? HELL YEAH. So that's the long and short of how he's ended up in Oshuu, and how rumours of some unholy youkai who can turn from crow to man and back, and who moves like no man or crow ever should, have started cropping up.
