You're welcome to interpret that as you will through your character and your character's culture/society/canon, but what your character will feel is equivalent to love. You're both members of different factions, species, classes, and so on. But nothing will stand in the way of your feelings unless you let it. 9. Be My Bad Boy: Similar to the above but one of you is "good" while the other is "evil." Despite this, your relationship is just as strong and just as pure as anyone else's. 10. For Your Own Good: We all know the romance trope. One party must leave the other, though they still love them desperately. They must make their love hate them for their own good. 11. Trying to Make It Work: Through good times and bad, you've decided to work together for what you feel, because you know you'll only ever love this person. 12. Back Together: You only had room for one person in your heart, and they were the one that got away. Now, though, you have another chance. 13. I Refuse to Leave: Sometimes, even true love isn't all that good. Sometimes it's destructive and painful, and the person you love isn't the one who's good for you. But they love you, and you can't leave. 14. Keep Your Hands Off!: You have to defend your partner, and you won't let anyone stand in the way. 15. Marry You: You've decided to make things permanent. Getting away from her family, from Marcel, from all of the scheming and plotting, magic, and blood hadn't been an easy task. It had been especially hard because Rebekah had never taken off on her own - abandoning her brothers to their own devices. She knew, though, that this time it was what she needed. If she hadn't gotten out it was only a matter of time before she and Marcel both wound up on the pointy end of her brother's dagger. And Rebekah is so tired of being put to sleep...of sleeping away the ages to miss everything as it happens....and of being alone.

Maybe that was how it had been so easy to be drawn toward Steve Rogers?

It wasn't difficult to fall for him, though. Steve is special, after all. He's got such spirit and kindness...written all over his face, his body, his very core being. It had been that kindness - that goodness - that had drawn Rebekah in initially...mainly because Steve was everything that she, herself, wasn't. By her very nature Rebekah Mikaelson was dark, wrong, and evil. She's a vampire, afterall. Still, posing as a nurse made it easy to attempt to atone for her many sins of the centuries. And falling for Steve made her want to do so more and more.

She's certain that she'll never be able to. She can't even bring herself to tell him about even a minute amount of the things that she's done, seen, etc. And the whispers don't make Rebekah feel any better. New York is full of vampires hiding in plane sight. And the whispers of Mikael and Klaus haven't escaped her - nor has the talk that Nik is on the move yet again....looking for her and a way to escape their father. The blonde vampire can practically feel her past, her family, trying to catch up with her and she's afraid of what will happen to Steve should her brother manage to find her here...where she's just managed to carve out something special. Something meaningful.

"Love, I think that we should have a little chat..." Rebekah finally manages to pull herself out of her thoughts and focus on the man whose hand is in her own. They'd been walking - and she can't even remember if they'd been talking before she manages to speak. She has to talk to him, to do something, to save him....to pull away now, right? Otherwise she's not being fair to him.

But she loves him - and therein lies the crux of the problem; she loves him enough that she doesn'tw ant to expose him to everything bad and evil, which is all that she seems to have to offer.....and it's very much on it's way.
