Seventeen years is a long time. Of course the older you get the less true that becomes. But many would argue that when it comes to couples, seventeen years is too large of an age gap between partners. It's why he's never brought it up, this odd tension and draw he feels towards Leonard. He'd kept his mouth shut and flirted just enough that it was fun but not enough to indicate that more was wanted, or at least that is what he'd hoped he'd done.

It went on like this for years flirting and quips and puns traded without actually going any further than hero/villain and occasional partners given the current situation at the time. But Barry was almost thirty now...Leonard now close to fifty. Was that seventeen years so great of a distance now? He's tired of being alone. He's tired of one night stands that leave him unfulfilled because he just can't risk people finding out who he is.

He's tired in general. between work and duties as the Flash he just doesn't have time to be Barry Allen anymore. This whole debacle combined with his infatuation with Leonard is what prompts him to Saints and Sinners now on a regular basis. Len's off with the Legends more often than not so he's not worried about running into the thief here.

It's three months later that he sees Len again out of the corner of his eye. Barry is sitting at the bar in his usual spot sipping whiskey neat and talking with the bartender who's grown to like him. The fact that he never causes trouble and always tips extremely well helps with it. He doesn't move to get up though or even acknowledge the Rogue. If Len wants to talk to him, he'll approach him.
