1. proposal {
1. park - you've been planning this proposal for awhile and have taken your sweetheart to a nice secluded area in the park. are they going to say yes or leave you in the dust?

2. house - dimmed lights, candles, home made dinner. it's obvious you've fixed yourself up for something tonight. let's see if your lover catches on before the question is popped.

3. public event - perhaps you're one who wants to gain a lot of attention; maybe your significant other doesn't as much. either way, this goes from writing their message in the sky with an airplane to something like a flash mob ensemble with others involved.

4. restaurant - nothing romantic like taking them out somewhere ritzy and hiding the rings in that glass of expensive wine.

5. car - you've driven them somewhere nostalgic or meaningful either to you or each other, or perhaps just a good view overlooking the city cause maybe you had no other idea how to do it or couldn't afford anything else.

2. marriage {
1. traditional - both parties have agreed and said yes, and everything goes well just like in the fairy tales you've always dreamed of.

2. arranged - you had no say so in this but somebody else like your parents did. you've never seen this person before until you walk down the aisle. what are your thoughts? are you nervous? what if you two don't get along? looks like you have to deal with it either way. enjoy?

3. elope - nothing fancy. you know, they do make drive thru chapels or perhaps you're just going to experience the excitement of meeting up at the court. all and all, it doesn't matter, just so you have your sweetheart to yourself.

4. shotgun - congrats, somebody is pregnant. there's only one more thing left to do now..

5. disaster - looks like somebody forgot the rings! never mind the fact the maid of honor is having a wardrobe malfunction or that soon to be father in law is causing a scene of some sort.

3. after marriage {
1. honeymoon night - self explanatory! come on, you know what this means. it just wouldn't be the same without this option.

2. new addition - it could be a pregnancy or bringing home a new child, or something as simple as a new pet goldfish.

3. house purchase - after months of living in a trashy apartment, you're both about to sign the dotted line and move into your new place.

4. argument - deep, relationship sort of arguments or something petty like who drank all the milk; it's up to you!

5. divorce - somebody has had enough of this and is ready to move on. how will it all go down?

Lisa wasn't quite certain how things had fully come about, but she had to say that she was happy with how things were. It had taken a lot of thought on her part, but she was ready to ask Piers that sort of question. Acceptance or not, she wanted to ask.

The meal hot and ready - and hopefully not too soon - Lisa found herself pacing a little in some anxiety. She hoped that he would accept - the connection that they had was something wonderful.

Or hopefully, she wasn't just deluding herself.

[Ariel's been feeling a bit homesick. While being married to a handsome human (shut up, vampire or not he still counts as a human) had been everything she could have ever hoped for...something was missing.

Her legs were nice, she enjoyed them and all the bits and pieces that came along with it. Their marriage was like something out of a Disney movie, he may not be a prince out of a fairy tale but he was a dashing hero out of some sort of novel. But there was an aching in her core, wanting more, so to speak. So when Edward comes home from a hunting trip with his family he'll find that there's a new addition to the family.

Irene and John had been married for a while now, and she was surprised that things were going so smoothly. If anything, she had expected that she would have either tied him up and whipped him silly by now or someone would have left after burning down a section of their home.

And yet things had worked out swimmingly. She should have known that something would crop up. It started with a queasy feeling that came every morning for a week, and then a lack of interest in food. She had her suspicions but she sure as hell hoped she was wrong.

[Alice was raised in a traditional manner, so traditional one might think she came from a different time entirely. It isn't helped by her time spent in the loony bin and the psychological devastation wreaked by the fire...just spending time outside is confusing these days. She does it anyway, forcing herself to go out and confront the strange modernity of current society. It would be weak to do otherwise.

Cassandra helps. Strong but not cruel, hardly an idiot and doesn't treat her as one either, and the fact that she can even stand to be around Alice with her kind of ability is courageous in herself.

Alice refuses to use her as a crutch but will take her as a friend. Only the world seems to have changed a great deal now that she's outside of her 'traditional' shell and now there's a bit further to go than friend. Her parents would have been scandalized. Alice is intrigued.

she gets to spend every day with her best friend, and they always have fun together just like always. she gets santana into soapy water fights while washing dishes, pillow fights, hide and seek, and any other game she can come up with. she builds them blanket forts in their living room on rainy weekends or when santana's had a bad day, and sometimes they just sit up in the middle of the night and sit on their kitchen floor eating ice cream. because they can. because it's their place.

she loves it. she loves every single moment of their life, and she wants it to last forever and ever.

when it's been exactly six months since they moved in, brittany decides to make them a picnic in the living room. she puts it all together before santana gets home from work. she moves the coffee table aside and spreads a blanket on the floor, then sets up paper plates and plastic ware. everyone knows you don't use real plates on a picnic. she makes grilled cheese and french fries, because that's one of the things she's good at making. there's a bottle of wine and plastic wine glasses, and she's putting the finishing touches on the food.]

A 'romantic friendship', Alice might have called it, if she thought herself even capable of that level of affection. The last time she let someone slip past her defenses it went badly for her.

But Lisa is an all right sort. Alice will just have to put up with the burden of enjoying her presence.
