The HOLY GRAIL WAR Meme

Seven Masters, magi of the present day. Seven Servants, heroes of days past.One Holy Grail, granting whomever claims it a wish. Only one team of Master and Servant may claim it.
Who will it be?
For those unfamiliar with Fate/Stay Night or Fate/Zero, you can find a better explanation of the Holy Grail War here.

Instructions
1. Comment with your character. In the subject line, put that character's name, canon, and which role (Master, Servant, or either) you would like them to fulfill. Add other preferences if you would like. (NOTE: If your character can fill the role of Servant, I suggest you state which class(es) -- Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, or Berserker -- they fall into.)
2. Reply to others' comments. Pick your character's role (and the other character's if they list "Either" as their preference), then use the RNG to pick a scenario that fits the two characters' roles.
3. Enjoy! Though there might be triggers, depending on how the prompts are interpreted.


TWO MASTERS

1. Battle. Who says that Servants get to have all the fun? After all, most Masters try to kill each other, too. Whatever the circumstances, the two of you are locked in a fight. Neither of you are willing to use your Command Spells just yet, so no Servants here. Just two magi duking it out.

2. Alliance. There's a bigger threat out there. Either one Servant is exceptionally powerful, or the situation has changed and the participants need to take action aginst it. One way or another, you're teamed up with one of your rivals for the Holy Grail. How long will this last before you try to stab each other in the back? Or, will something more develop?

3. Protection. Uh-oh! One of you has lost your Servant! Unfortunately, there's no way you'd get to the church safely on your own, so the other one will help you get there! Or maybe you don't trust the priest presiding over the Holy Grail War and are giving shelter to them yourself? Given their track record, no one would blame you.

4. Death. One or both of you lay dying. It might have been by the other's hand, or by someone else's entirely. How will you spend your last moments in the presence of one of your rivals?

5. You, Too? Surprise! You may have been friends before, but you've just discovered that you're both Masters! How will you handle this revelation?

6. Wild Card. Roll again, pick one of the previous options, or make one up!


MASTER AND SERVANT

1. Are You My Master? The summoning is complete. Whether intentional or not, catalyst or not, a magus has summoned a Servant. What kind of meeting was it? Was everything totally under control, or did a hitch occur? Or maybe it happened in the middle of a life-or-death situation!

2. Identity. Either the Servant has flat out told the Master their identity, or they unleashed their Noble Phantasm. Either way, the cat is out of the bag. How will the Master react, now that they know their Servant's name and legend? Will anything change between the two?

3. Battle Aftermath. A battle has just ended. Who participated? Are either of you hurt? Did the Master have to use a Command Spell? Any number of things could have happened here.

4. Discord. Uh-oh. It looks like the Master and the Servant don't get along. Here come the arguments! Don't do something stupid, like waste a Command Spell over a triviality...

5. Love. And then, there's the opposite. Sometimes Masters and Servants fall in love with each other. How will this affect things?

6. Wild Card. Roll again, pick one of the previous options, or make one up!


TWO SERVANTS

1. Battle. This is what usually happens when two Servants meet -- they duke it out. This probably says enough as it is.

2. Alliance. There's a bigger threat out there. Either one Servant is exceptionally powerful, or the situation has changed and the participants need to take action aginst it. One way or another, you're teamed up with one of your rivals for the Holy Grail. How long will this last before you try to stab each other in the back? Or, will something more develop?

3. The Grail Dialogues. Maybe you're not interested in fighting just yet. Maybe you just want to sit down and talk with the other Servant. Find out what they want, what makes them tick. Get some wine while you're at it -- nothing like good wine to go with good talk!

4. Death. One or both of you lay dying...again. It might have been by the other's hand, or by someone else's entirely. How will you spend your last moments in this War in the presence of one of your rivals?

5. Identity. Congratulations, you've just learned each other's identities! Will this change the situation, or will you press onward?

6. Wild Card. Roll again, pick one of the previous options, or make one up!

[ There's something to be said for Shirou Emiya. Sure, he's not a strong mage but he never gives up, he's got a noble soul, he'll fight until his last breath, and he'll stay true to his friends no matter the cost. What's not to love about him? Saber finds it hard to answer that question a lot these days. Of course, she has a fond place in her heart for both of the Magi who allied together in this Holy Grail War. Tohsaka Rin, just as stubborn and a strong Magus who can hurl magic and knows the rules and expectations of the Holy Grail War back to front. Shirou, a newcomer to this violent world of magic but all the braver in Saber's eyes for it. There is nobility in them both. It's hard to say which occupies more of her heart at times, but Shirou... Somehow it always returns to Shirou.

Of course, Shirou is also one hell of a cook, which helps a lot... Saber sits in the Emiya household, resting at the table in the middle of the small dining room and studiously watching as steam rises from her cup of tea. After a long moment of thought she turns her head towards Shirou, watching as he cleans up something or other in the kitchen. ]

[Tendou Maya is not a weak person. She is strong. Stronger than anyone. She is not underhanded, deceptive, or cruel. She's the image of a proper magus - upright, noble. She can hold her own against servants (Caster and Rider and maybe Archer, all in a very limited capacity), she knows plenty about magical theory, and she is a noblewoman, both in bearing and in blood.

So why is her servant a drunk Assassin? She'd wanted a Saber. She'd chosen the sword that slayed a legendary demon as her catalyst.

She did not expect she'd get the oni. But here they are.]

Assassin.

[They killed Lancer and his Master last night. It had been a straightforward duel, but any duel Assassin went to quickly turned into a drunken brawl. Maya's ribs still hurt, and there's a few noticeable bruises on her jaw.

She sips on her tea. These days, everything tastes like alcohol. Just being around Assassin, having her as a servant - it's like having her noble blood replaced with cheap sake. There's this low broil heat in Maya's stomach that she can't seem to get rid of. Even as her Master, looking too long at Assassin feels like she's going under.

Frustrated, Maya pushes her tea aside.]

Fetch me some water. [She's tried everything with Assassin - bossing her around hardly works, flirting with her had only made her laugh, even though Maya's used to women being weak to that, and she won't ever act subservient to her own servant. So they're at this standstill, where Maya tells Assassin what to do and Assassin does whatever she wants.]

Or if you're going to get me drunk, at least some wine.

[As an amateur magus, Kimika did not expect the summoning ritual to work out. She didn't know if this was an accident or just fate. She was always being mocked and bullied for putting experience and hard work over genetic lineage when it came to a magus' magical potential. She wasn't very strong when it came to magical power, but she made up those weaknesses with weaponry and science on her side.

She really wanted to try out for the Grail War just to prove that she could be strong like the rest of them. Sitting on her butt with her mouth slack jawed, Kimika could see a silhouette in the cloud of smoke and volts of mana. But she couldn't tell what kind of Servant she summoned... The girl is cautious as she stands to her feet. A part of her still wondered if this was a fluke... like she summoned a weak Gel monster from Dragon Quest.]

[Under any other circumstances, it's likely Black would be summoned in the berserker class; he'd hate it of course, given despite his constant monologues about how angry he is at everything, he'd consider it a class for mindless, unrefined beasts.

But given that Goku's already been summoned to this war, the grail had no choice but to compromise and summon Black in an alternate class, that being Alter Ego. But he was completely aware as to why. There's only one man whose presence could force him into the fringes of the class system the grail used in order to maintain its own rules, even if it meant breaking one to maintain another.

His suspicions are only confirmed once he and Goku finally meet.]
