For you and your companion, it's all about firsts: first crush, first love, first fight, first confession, first kiss, first time, first adventure to certain death together - you know, as you do. There is a first time for everything, after all, and they say you never forget your first.

Your character can be at the right place and time for all these firsts, you can age them down, they're starting late, they never had the chance, it's an AU I DON'T EVEN CARE just play.

First Kiss: Is there anything sweeter?

First Date: Are you super awkward and nervous or getting on like a house on fire?

First Anniversary: You've made it an entire year without killing one another! Time to break open the bubbly.

He had done it. Son Gohan had finally either gotten up the nerve, or been poked at by Bulma or his Mother, enough to finally ask Videl on an actual date. The current plan was to have a nice dinner, and then go to the park. Nothing fancy, since the Son family isn't all that wealthy, but still, nice none the less.

He's dressed in a nice outfit. Slacks, button down shirt, with a bit of a vest over the top of it. He pulls at the collar a bit as he makes his way to the front door of her home. A very careful knock on the door, and then he waits. He doesn't know why he's so NERVOUS, though. He beat Cell, fought Buu...why is a date with the most perfect woman in the universe terrifying him.

He blinks to himself a couple times and considers that last thought may be the root of his nervousness.

[When the doorbell rings, Rei's still in the bathroom, attempting to neaten up his hair. He squeaks, and wonders if it could even be Nagisa; maybe it's just a neighbor. But no, it's Nagisa, looking a little breathless but still totally wonderful.]

H-Hi.

[Breathless and red-cheeked, and suddenly unable to smile in his usual carefree way when Rei opens the door. Sure, he's had Rei's fond look directed at him enough times, but knowing that Rei's fondness also exceeds the purely platonic... well, that changes everything in a way that makes Rei seem even handsomer than usual.

Did Nagisa really claim that he'd plant a big kiss on Rei the moment he saw him again? Now he feels incapable of doing much other than fidgeting, and that won't do when Rei's obviously feeling just as shy.]

Rei-chan... [Even to his own ears, his voice sounds oddly throaty and deep. Shrugging and grinning bashfully, he steps inside and toes off his shoes.] Thanks for having me over right away, Rei-chan. I know it was short notice, but - I just had to see you.

[To make sure everything they said over text was real. Is real.]

[Nagisa seems to be glowing, although Rei wonders if maybe that's just from the blush on his cheeks. Nagisa's being uncharacteristically shy, but Rei gets the sense that this means he's really serious, and butterflies squirm in his stomach.

He nods and steps back as Nagisa comes in, to make room in the entryway. Once he's cleared the way, Rei shuts the door.]

I understand. I don't think I would have been able to wait until tomorrow, either. Come in. We can go to my room.

[To his room?!

Yes, Rei says it without flinching or stuttering, so he means it. He wasn't exaggerating when he said they should dive into the deep end with their affection for each other, and while all of Nagisa's friends constantly astound him with the level of determination they can show when they get serious - and he knows he's no different - Rei is by far the strongest person he knows, so there will be no backing down now.

Nagisa should probably be excited by the thought, but instead he feels a warm rush of calm envelop him and he reaches out to hold Rei's hand in both of his. Now he knows without a shadow of a doubt that it's all real, which gives him the confidence to make good on his boast about kissing Rei - he just presses his lips to Rei's knuckles to start, an absurdly old-fashioned and chivalrous act that manages to say more than any hot, messy kiss might have.]

Only if you're ready. I'll never tease or torment you about not feeling ready to do anything, okay? Not when it comes to this.

[It wasn't exactly bravado; Rei knows about the implications associated with bedrooms, of course, but feels safest in his bedroom, his own space. And he trusts Nagisa enough that he knows the other won't push him.

Which isn't to say that he isn't determined. Now that this is happening, and he's braced himself, he wants it. He doesn't want to avoid his feelings anymore, illogical though they are.

When Nagisa kisses his hand, he squeaks in spite of himself and blushes. It's so chivalrous, and yet so playful, so Nagisa. When he recovers, he smiles warmly.]

I'm ready, Nagisa-kun, as long as it's with you.

[Nagisa would be a liar if he said he wasn't hoping for some surprise from Rei, preferably along with quite a bit of blushing, so a wide and slightly wicked smile stretches across his face when he gets exactly that. Time for Nagisa's confidence to flood back along with his easy good cheer, because Rei's ready for whatever this visit may bring, as long as it's with Nagisa.

Struck by an impetuous need he can no longer refuse, Nagisa closes the distance between them and stretches up on tiptoe to kiss Rei properly on the mouth, one hand resting lightly around the back of his neck. It's another single kiss, no pushing for more, but his violet eyes are definitely burning brighter and hotter when he settles fully onto his feet again.]

Good, 'cause I've wanted to give you that for a long, long time. Now we can go to your room.
