Most societies have certain mores that are unspoken rules; humanity itself even has such conventions, grilled subconsciously into our minds for our own safety. Don't go out alone at night. Avoid getting wet when it's cold. Don't pick fights with those stronger than you...okay, some of us missed the boat on the last one, but the point still stands. Society's rules tend to be more variable, though they apply to most aspects of life - including sex. In fact, bending the rules on what's considered acceptable in romance and sexual encounters can lead to anything from ostracization to death, depending on the time and culture.

So, play it close to the chest if you're going to do a big, big, big t a b o o. Is it worth the risk?

[Hmmm. Maybe she's injured during Ragnarok and they rescue her and manage to get her locked up in a room on the ship on the way to Earth while she's healing and Loki's in charge of healing her and keeping her bound up so she can't fuck things up again?]

Hela knows she's in a precarious position now that Thor has managed to defeat her and wrangled her up onto that damn ship with him and the rest of the Asgardians.

Oh, she should be grateful. Without his last minute change of conscience, she'd be dead with the remains of Asgard. Maybe being bound in a room on the ship with Loki healing her injuries is better than death, but only slightly.

Maybe Hela is being dramatic (it's part of who she is, after all), but she wants to be free again. Moving too much hurts, however; as far as she can move with her wrists and ankles chained by magical bonds that keep her from using her sorcery against her captors.

Still, when Loki enters the room and the door closes behind him, she smiles.

"Well, well. Here to continue healing the prisoner?" she asks, not expecting any real reply. It was a rhetorical question anyway.

"Come over here, Loki. I do so enjoy watching your hands at work."

Loki had disagreed, of course. With Thor saving Hela at the last minute, with their bringing her along. Most of all at the idea that he would heal her, and that would somehow endear him to the Asgardians who had been literally in hiding from their monstrous sister. And yet here he is, doing as Thor asks. He wishes he could think of a better way to convince Thor that he intends to stay, that he intends to make up for what he's done. This? This is foolishness. Naivety of the highest order.

This assessment is hammered in when Hela immediately mocks him upon entry. She, of all people, knows that this is a recipe for disaster. What she doesn't know is that, while he has been healing her, he has also been laying traps. Small failsafe hexes and curses embedded deep in her wounds, ready for him to trip them at the slightest sign of trouble and rip her open again. The knowledge makes approaching her easy, and he merely raises an eyebrow at her comments.

"It is not my hands for which I am generally known, sister."

He gives her a once-over, deciding where to start. The burns are coming along nicely, but it is the broken bones in her legs that need the most attention. He is not a fool, however, and reaches up to reinforce the bindings on her wrists that keep her magic in check. He knows that had she not been so thoroughly injured, he would not have been able to begin these weavings at all, and as she gains strength it is not only time that will make them fray. Although he could trigger his failsafes and knock her out again should she break free, he is not sure Thor would allow him to implant them a second time. Better to make sure she cannot break free.

Glancing up at her face-- as much as he would rather not look at her at all --he gives a quick nod. "This will hurt. As always." Bedside manner isn't his forte.

He raises the hands she'd praised and holds them just over her ankles. His eyes fall shut as he concentrates, feels the living bone within her and encourages it to grow, to knit back together. He steels himself for whatever reaction she chooses to have today.

"You're right. It's that tongue of yours, isn't it?"

Mocking is all she really has now, so she intends to use it whenever possible. It's more than obvious that Loki is reluctant to be doing this job, that Thor ordered him to heal her instead of him taking it upon himself. Well, that's just fine with her. Either way, she will regain her strength, though... without Asgard to conquer anymore, Hela isn't sure what's left for her.

"Mm. Of course," she replies, bracing herself for the pain to follow. Her body shudders with it as Loki starts weaving together the broken bones, her bound hands reaching forward to grab onto whatever part of Loki she can reach, fingers digging into his clothing.

It hurts, yes, but she knows she'll feel at least a bit better when he's done working for the moment. All that remains is finding herself a reward for the trouble, and she has just the thing in mind... assuming she can convince him.

That thought in mind, Hela makes a conscious effort to gasp and moan softly as he heals her, as if there's some pleasure to his actions. Her hands, still grabbing his clothing, pull him closer. "Oh... Loki."

It's not exactly easy to put on a seductive tone while in this amount of pain, but Hela has experienced agony before. She can manage it again.

That...is not the reaction he had anticipated.

Loki pulls back against her grasp on him, his own hands lowering. Surely it is a trick. He just isn't certain what gambit she intends with it. He isn't about to be seduced into letting her go. Not to mention the fact that letting her go, at this point, wouldn't mean much. She's in no shape to hurt anyone, and her only escape would be the vacuum of space. He stares, gaze searching for a sign of what she's truly thinking. But the inherent madness in her makes reading her so very difficult...

Lacking a better option, he simply asks: "What are you doing?"
