The Dating Meme
Dating is, when you think about, really weird. It's a totally different thing for different people. Some are friends for years before they date; others start dating on the same day they met. Sometimes, there's a lot mushy stuff involved; other times, the couple acts just like friends. None of this is necessarily right or wrong.
Whatever it is, your character and the character you reply to are now dating. How? That's up to you. Whether it be awkward or not, the relationship will be uniquely theirs.

1. Best Friends to More: Oh, wow, you've been this person's friend forever! But then you realize you have feelings for them, and they for you. Will things change when you change your status?
2. The Sudden Decision: Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here I am, date me maybe?
3. Confession: You've had feelings for this person for, like, ages, and you want to ask them to date you. Or maybe the confession just slips out...
4. Hate Date: You really don't like this person; actually, you hate them. But you don't want them to be with anyone else!
5. I Guess We're Dating: Huh. We are dating, aren't we? Everyone else knew before us...
6. Slow Decision: For the more mature and seasoned, they might fall into something sweet without needing to rush.

Now we have her in a new school just trying to lay low and return to normal life but it's hard when everyone knows your name and has heard rumors of you, aliens, a bunch of practically feral kids killing each other in some no where town in California.
So the question becomes, how and or why would Heather be interested in this inexperienced lesbian?]

Normally Heather would just sink her claws in and take this girl under her wing... But then she hears more rumors, and an opportunity presents itself: she could date Dekka, and rock the very foundation that their school stands on. That way they can share the spotlight, but what Heather "reveals" about herself will place her just a little bit ahead.
Besides, guys think girl-on-girl action is totally hot.

Meeting Heather for a date was about as high on her list as talking to reporters, going on a diet or going back to Perdido Beach. But after some nagging from her friends (Other survivors of the Incident who were not going to the same school as her.) She reluctantly agreed if only to shut them up.
"Stupid Diana. She's just as hung up about Caine as I am about her." Dekka muttered to herself as she dismounted from her bright red motorcycle and stored her helmet in the locked box on the side.
The "her" in question was one of the casualties of the Perdido Beach incident. While the world was only still learning about everything that had gone on there Dekka had kept to herself, only speaking up when she had to defend her friends and the things they had done to survive.
Others were making millions off the story. Dekka just wanted to live in denial. Was that really so wrong?
She had dressed reasonably nice which for her meant clean jeans that made her butt look good, a fitted blouse and her favorite boots. Not exactly high fashion but she was still reserving the right to bail if this went south.
