CLAIM YOUR BAGGAGE

Everyone has baggage. What's yours?

• Post with your character. Include name, series and preferences in the title.
• In the comment, list three things your character considers baggage. Per Urban Dictionary, baggage is "the shit people go into relationships with."
• Characters replying state whether or not they can deal with the baggage listed. If they can, they get to post a baggage of their own. The OP then gets to decide if they can deal with that.
• OR do whatever you want. Discuss said baggage, laugh, ask questions, be horrified, throw a party, whatever.
• Some baggage might be triggering.

Idea from anon here.

...so my buddy Lex and I aren't the only ones, huh.

I'm sorry you've had to go through that, too.

No. My siblings and I, as well.

For what it's worth, people won't normally judge a person for their parents' actions. We may think we have a responsibility to set them straight, but...that isn't always possible.

I've found the best I can do is simply do what I feel is right, and rely on my friends to help me.

[It may be hard to imagine someone as strict-seeming as Xander has friends, but he definitely does.]

Have you ever felt better after expressing worries to one of your friends?

Siblings, huh. I dunno how my brother and sister reacted, but I bet Bloom took dad's side. He's always tried to be just like him, after all.

Yeah, that's all I can do right now. Help Lord Sigurd as much as I can to make up for my dad framing him for the murder.

[A small, kinda dreamy smile crosses her face]

Actually, I have.

[Xander smiles. It's a surprisingly gentle one for a man of his stature.]

That's good. I hope you can continue to confide in your friends. Sharing our burdens make them easier to bear.
