[It's a very simple admission. It's not like he really kept his fondness for cats a secret. He was just a very private person and when you were a private person your interests ended up secrets. His friends were always a good insight, though. Sometimes the vacation wasn't even necessary, Mic would just burst in and say that he found a mug or a sweater and it would be in Aizawa's hands.]
[He kept most of them. It was inefficient to throw them out, after all.]
Although what makes you think I'm not allergic?
[After all, he clearly didn't have a cat. Now, he's not allergic but since the whole thing has sort of played out as a homework assignment, a grade, a mark, he feels the need to check the other's work.]

Well, I couldn't be sure, but I know that Koda-kun frequently had pets, and you never seemed to have a reaction when you were near him. But just to be safe, I also brought a couple different types of allergy medication, just in case.
[ He'd tucked them safely in his bag before leaving, so they'd be easy to access. It was a little embarrassing, but anticipating those sorts of things was vital to being a great hero. ... well, you won't need them: I'm not. [He has to admit he was just being contrary for no reason. There were lots of reasons he'd never actually gotten a cat. A lot of the time he didn't even feel like those reasons needed explaining. That was another reason he came off so distant- he'd just assume people could either figure it out or they weren't worth the time.]

After holding the door open so Aizawa could enter, he followed behind and waved to one of the waitresses, a grin on his face. He wasn't about to say as much, but the truth was he'd done more than just look this place up: he'd come about a week before to check it out, and to get to know the staff and the cats a little better. There was no room for error when it came to impressing his former teacher. ]
Where do you want to sit? [ he asked, turning to the older man with a wide smile. ] I like the window spot over there, but it's up to you.

Window is fine with me. [the window didn't get too much traffic. instead it just provided a lovely sunbeam for the cats to flock to. The cats here were pretty friendly but he did notice that some of them didn't even react to Midoriya as "new"... not that he can put together the truth of what Izuku's done to prep.]
[They'll settle into the window seat and Aizawa will let his hand sort of dangle so that cats who approach him can take a sniff and get a quietly affectionate scratch.]
