You may once have been a great hero, or a modest regular person. But something has pushed you past the limit. There's simply no going back to who you used to be. To be seen now, your friends, your family, would they even recognize you? Your savior was too late. The pain was too much. The pleasure was too intense. You've been short-circuited.


You're broken.

C. Probably some triggers involved here. Read at your own discretion, etc.


1. Pain.
You've been pushed beyond your limits and become light-headed, 'floaty'. The sight of your own blood doesn't provoke a reaction anymore, and seeing a friend might cause you to smile, or talk strangely. You might not even recognize them. It doesn't hurt anymore. It's alright now.

2. Lust.
No, no, no became yes, yes, yes. Dignity and self-respect have faded, replaced by an insatiable and alien feeling of want. You've reached a point where shame doesn't even occur to you anymore. Your eyes seem out of focus and your smile doesn't look right. Look, I've made so many friends who like me...! Do anything to me if it feels good.

3. Shock.
What has been seen cannot be unseen. A revelation about a friend, a loved one, an enemy- something has shocked you in a way you can never reverse. It may change not only the way you look at someone or something, but also the way you see the rest of your life. I saw nothing, I saw nothing, I saw...

4. Oppressed.
What's it like outside my cage? Your spirit of rebellion or confidence has been cracked, and your rescuers might not be there in time to salvage what's left of your spirits. You've long since accepted that getting away from this oppression is impossible- Perhaps you've even become attached to it as the only way to live life. Yes, sir. No, sir. Sorry, sir.

5. Corruption.
Something has eroded you. You're not like you used to be. You're obsessive, your face is darker. You may even see who you were before as weak or useless. Whether it's a magic ring or Phazon infecting your body, you're going grimdark and it's looking a little too late to pull you out of it. This power is far greater than what I had before! To think I used to believe in justice!

6. Hysteria.
When you talk, you don't make any sense. Pure Charisma Break. Maybe you were a god stripped of your might, or you've suffered a terrible defeat. Either way your ego has snapped, leaving you a total mess and unable to function. But how could this be? How could I lose?!

7. Desperation.
Where before you were airy, confident, in control of yourself, you're now a ragged and fuming pile of hopeless anger. As a fighter you may have been careful or even graceful; now you swing wildly, strike without precision. You simply cannot accept the situation, cannot accept your own fall. It's not over! I'm still in control! I can still fix everything!

It hadn't been that hard to find Lindsey's apartment, even in his current state, which was not good. He very slowly dragged himself downstairs, weakly knocking at his door. Dean couldn't barely stand, shaking and sweaty and pale. His skin was raw from scratching and he felt like any minute he might get sick again. He had scratches on him from now chewed down nails as blood shot eyes stared at the door, desperately waiting for it to open.

Even the slightest scratch would have alerted Lindsey with his vamipiric hearing. He was confused though, having had no visitors in his apartment... ever, and suddenly getting one in the middle of the night?

He took his time going to the door, but upon opening it, he regretted it instantly.

"Dean?" He called, dropping down to his knees beside the broken looking human. "Dean...??"

He blinked rapidly, trying to get his eyes to focus. Someone was next to him, Lindsey. He'd been so bad last time, hed do whatever Lindsey wanted. He reached out with shaking hands to try and undo Lindsey's belt. "I'll do it...whatever you want just make it stop.". He sounded broken, more broken than he ever thought he'd get.

Lindsey gathered Dean into his arms and placed a light kiss down by his shoulder. "Dean... Damnit." He picked him up, carrying him easily into his apartment. The door closed behind him with a kick.

He moved towards the couch but at the last moment, veered right and took the human right into his bedroom. "Dean, stay with me."

Dean withered in pain, skin do sensitive that any touch hurt. All the movement made him feel like he was going to be sick again, but there was nothing left in his stomach. He curled against Lindsey though, he was cold and it felt good on his feverish skin. "Please, im sorry...ok? I'm sorry."

Lindsey didn't wait anymore. Once Dean was laid out gently on his bed, he bent over and bit Dean as carefully as he could in the neck. He didn't dare to take too much, not with Dean in this condition, so he drank the slowest he ever did in history and took the blood one small sip at a time.

He shouldn't have left the human for so long, not after having gotten him addicted like that. It was stupid, and he was a messed up bastard for causing Dean to be like this. Lindsey hadn't even thought about what the senior partners would do to him if he killed Dean, but merely the suffering that he put Dean through because he was afraid.

Dean moaned in relief as his entire body went limp, finally getting what he needed. Relaxation slowly turned to pleasure and he pressed closer to Lindsey, any dignity long gone in favor of enjoying the bite as much as possible, he never wanted it to stop.

Lindsey tried to make it last as long as he could, but there was only so much blood he dared to take. Eventually he released Dean and licked his wound close. Holding Dean still, Lindsey nuzzled against the fevered human. "I'm sorry... I was wrong. I'm sorry I didn't come see you sooner."

Dean stayed pressed against Lindsey, mumbling incoherently. Somewhere in there was a muffled thank you before he shut his eyes and breathed deeply, enjoying the feeling rushing through his body.

Lindsey held Dean like that for a long time, until after he was sure the human was asleep, and even then, for some time more. He did eventually let go to help Dean get comfortable, remove the shoes and all that. He also went to load his fridge up with something more than blood, knowing that Dean wouldn't be able to survive on the same things he could. When he was done, he went back to Dean's side to watch him for a while longer.

Dean tossed back and forth in his sleep, sweating when his fever finally broke. He reached out blindly, trying to escape his nightmare and when his hand ran into Lindsey and tried to curl against him, grumbling in his sleep.

Lindsey had been about to leave to let Dean rest in peace, but then he was grabbed and he found he couldn't leave. Looking down at Dean again, he shifted and held him close. "You'll be alright," he murmured, trying to be reassuring.

That seemed like engh to calm him down and he finally settled down again into a more peaceful sleep. He balled his fists in Lindsey's shirt and relaxed.

Lindsey could only hold onto Dean, soothing him, caressing back his hair. He didn't apologize again, but he didn't need to as he just held Dean in his arms as the hunter regained his restorative sleep. He could try again later when the human was awake.

He made his own schedule now anyway and, no one could argue, his largest project needed him now.

Throwing the cover over both their shoulders, he drifted off holding Dean against him.

When dean woke up he felt less like he was about to die....so that was a good thing. He still felt like he'd been hit by a truck though, his whole body ached and the slightest movement made him wince in pain. Looking around he tried to figure out what was happening, then noticed Lindsey. His eyes widened a little and he tried to move away but gasped as his head started swimming and fell back against the vampire.

The movement woke Lindsey instantly and for a second he tightened his grip before he released Dean completely. He pulled back, looking down at his hands before he smoothly rolled off the bed from the other side. "How're you feeling?"

Dean shook his head, shutting his eyes tight. He was not good, he was the opposite of good right now. "Hurts..."

"I know... it'll be better soon." Reaching out to take Dean's arm, Lindsey licked the wrist lightly and game faced. Without waiting, he bit for the second time in twenty four hours. Again, the blood draw was light to not cause Dean any more harm.

His breathing hitched at the much needed bite, making him almost forget that he'd woken up in Lindsey's arms....again. He sighed in relief and looked around for the first time....this wasn't his room. "How did I get here?"

Lindsey released Dean and brushed back his hair before he released his arm. "You were in bad shape, I brought you in." He caressed Dean's arm gently then rested it back onto the bed. "Dean... I'm sorry."

"You brought me to your apartment?". Last thing he remembered was throwing up in his own apartment. That bite took the edge off and he slowly sat up in bed, still more than a little out of it. "I kept waiting for you to show up.....you never did. I thought you were pissed and were just gonna leave me to die."

If Dean couldn't remember getting to Lindsey's apartment, Lindsey wasn't about to ask. "Yes, I was mad. And I was stupid... I shouldn't have stayed away." He reached out as if he wanted to touch Dean again, but stopped and dropped his hand. "I thought you would be alright. I didn't know it was going to get this bad, I should have, but I never wanted you to be hurt like this, much less die."

"I don't think I was gonna die...pretty sure anyway...just couldn't sleep and couldn't keep anything down. I told you it got bad after three days.". He kept his eyes down,lowering his voice. "I didn't bring anybody back....I didn't touch anyone, okay? You won, I didn't do anything."

If Lindsey won, then why did he feel like Dean just punched him in the gut? "That's not... it shouldn't matter." He dropped down to his knees beside the bed so he was on an eye level with Dean laid out there. "If you want some girl... when you get better, you can go out. I won't care."

Dean frowned, finally looking at Lindsey with an air of defeat. "As long as I get on my knees, right? Or is that officially not good enough anymore? Forget it...I'll stay inside.". Just the idea of going out made him nervous, not wanting to deal with the consequences.
