You're on a deserted island. Far from civilization and any decent wi-fi. It's pretty much what it says on the tin. Maybe you took a wrong turn while out at sea, or you got shipwrecked. Whatever happened, you're stranded here, but at least you've got company. 

WHAT DO:
- Leave a comment with your character. You can write your own prompt/s if you want. Indicate your preferences, if any.
- Tag other people. If they left no prompts, use the randomizer.

PROMPTS:

1 - Where am I? Congratulations, you just survived a...whatever calamity it was that brought you here! Side effects may include disorientation, exhaustion, and exposure to the elements. Better start moving before the sea decides that it wants to keep you.

2 - I'm hungry. You'd better start looking for food while you're at it. And try not to end up as food for the local wildlife. If you don't know how to hunt or forage, it's time for a crash course.

3 - The bare necessities. Some things don't grow on trees or swim freely in the sea. You'll have to improvise and start building anything else you need.

4 - Exploring! You gotta admit, you're curious about what lies beyond the sand and the palm trees. Just be careful, you don't know what -  or who - you might find in there.

5 - I'm outta here! Time to put your escape plan into action and hope it works. Or...just scrawl a large S.O.S. in the sand and start waving wildly.

6 - It's like rain on your wedding day. It's raining. Do you seek shelter or keep calm and carry on with whatever you were doing that isn't seeking shelter?

7 - Sleepless nights. Sleeping under the starry night sky (or under a flimsy handmade shed) might be a thing you always wanted, but you kinda wish you were closer to home and that nice wi-fi connection. It's hard to sleep to begin with, too.

8 - Wildcard! Roll for another option or write your own prompt.

[It turns out that it rains about 90% of the time on this island. If Jane were here, she's sure she'd be able to do the actual math on that, but for Darcy's purposes it's close enough.

As is the shelter she's managed to find under a slightly-leaning-over-so-it's-like-an-umbrella-sorta tree. She's still getting wet, but not as wet. She's only been here a couple days and she's already realized how quickly her clothes could deteriorate if she just lets them be soaking wet all the time. And since she's apparently just going to have to survive here, now, she'll just have to figure out ways to stay dry.

Which would be easier if she wasn't alone, of course. She must have bumped her head, because all she remembers is climbing out from under the debris of some plane and not like, who she was traveling with or why. So far, she hasn't found anyone, and it really really sucks. Just like all this fucking rain.]

How was this her life?

As the rain started falling, Maura's shoulders fell, her chin met her chest, and she waited to be soaked through. This was just how things went for her. She wasn't really sure why she'd thought anything else would happen after the chain of events that had gotten them here.

First taking the rowboat from the Tal-Vashoth who had planned to use it to attack the docks, then losing the oars in the ensuing fracas and not even noticing until all the Tal-Vashoth had been kicked off the boat (she'd regret basically drowning them unconscious but they'd not exactly been trying not to kill her, so, really, it was their own fault). After that had come realising that they'd lost sight of land and she had no idea how to navigate once the sun had gone down.

The island had felt like a gift from the Maker, and she could certainly have had worse company than Fenris by far. But just as she was finding that she wasn't sure where they could find fresh water, the skies had opened and...

And, well...

Now they had fresh water in abundance, right?

"I think I must have once made the Maker very, very angry at me," she opined as she tried to take shelter under one of the wide-leaved trees. "I keep trying to do the right thing and it always ends up..."

Maura waved a hand vaguely toward the beach where they'd dragged the boat up onto the shore.

"Maybe He decided to strand me here to keep me from messing anything else up. Even if it's not very fair to you."
