Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

Are you a first-year student who needs to break the news of your new-found magical powers to your Muggle parents? Or maybe you're one of the put-upon teachers who are trying (sometimes even successfully!) to rein in your students' rambunctiousness? Have you decided to join with the Death Eaters in expectation of the day the Dark Lord returns or are you combating them as a member of the Order of the Phoenix? 

Student, professor, Death Eater, Ministry official, Auror...the choice is yours.

This is not a RNG meme. Your characters' role and situation is entirely up to you. "But how do you play?" you might ask. It's as simple as 1, 2, 3!

1.) Post with your character. In the subject line, type of your character's name, canon, House (if applicable), and their role in the HP universe. (For example: ALEC HARDISON | LEVERAGE | SLYTHERIN | PROFESSOR (oh dear god no))
2.) Tag around! Meet people your characters would never otherwise encounter! Start shenanigans, but please keep Hogwarts Castle from burning to the ground.
3.) Profit!

Sent to a Muggle orphanage after the brutal murder of his family when he was a little child, Near only found out he was a wizard (and a pure blood, at that) after his Hogwarts letter came. Has an unusual interest in Muggle toys and an even more unusual (and vast) collection of robots and puzzles. Basically a genius.]

[ A decpetively charming Slytherin sixth year prefect, Gregory prides himself on being able to talk anyone into doing anything. He wanted to be in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, to make people trust him and so no one could see his true colors, but, damn sorting hat ruined that plan. So, now, he's one of the nicest Slytherin's in school. Which, in itself, really is a giant red flag to anyone with even an ounce of suspicion in their body.

Also part of the choir and the dueling club, because the boy's got the voice of an angel but also is a tiny bit of an adrenaline junkie. The Forbidden Forest? It's only forbidden if you get caught. ]

[Upper-year 'puff and subject to a lot of rumors - that he's a werewolf, that he's killed someone, that he's not attending classes or planning to take any NEWTs, that he's actually a pretty good cook. At least one of these rumors is true, other than the one about the cooking (easily confirmed by anyone else in Hufflepuff). Good fucking luck figuring out which!

Out-of-house, he's a loner. His only friends to speak of are the captain of the dueling club and a pureblood heiress whose family is rumored to have made some sketchy donations to the Death Eaters before her grandfather died - the latter makes it even weirder that Shinji doesn't know or care about his own blood status.

In-house, he's one of the Team Moms, if still incredibly gruff about it. Missed dinner? Not anymore, you didn't. Don't know how to cook or do basic household spells? You're fucking well learning before he leaves. Oh, and that's cooking without magic. Any other way is just cheating.]

[Slytherin seventh year, halfblood and a little prickly about it, excels at charms and insists on taking NEWT-level muggle studies and ancient runes even though she just barely scraped by on her OWLs in those subjects. Plans on going into the occasionally questionably legal field of muggle artifact enchantment once she leaves school and may or may not have a heavily modified dirtbike hidden away somewhere on the grounds.

She thinks it's dumb that only one sport is played at Hogwarts and has spent the past year and a half low-key trying to organize an interhouse Quodpot league. This is considered by the faculty to be a step up from the semester she spent lobbying for a Creaothceann team, because Creaothceann is straight up illegal.]

It's also rumored one of his artifacts has the power to send him into a different world, but surely that's just fantastical gossip. What isn't a rumor is the enormous record collection he shares with his students, and the vintage Ducati parked in his classroom. ]

Astounding good at Transfiguration, a failure at many other subjects, and a generally withdrawn young girl, Momoko is a quiet, withdrawn young witch who spends more time curled up with her plushies and books than she does with her fellow students, although she always makes it down to the Great Hall for dinner - so she can eat nothing desserts. It helps take the dull edge off how little her parents ever send her mail and how friendless she is.

Rumors she cries at night abound, as do rumors she can make her hair pink, but mostly, nobody has a problem with her so much as they do a slight, passing curiosity. In a way, it's almost worse than being bullied back home. At least then she felt like she was on people's radar.]
