Arranged Marriage Turned More To have and to hold, you said, till death do us part, all while the sharp, swinging pendulum of obligation hung overhead. But how could you have truly meant those words? Perhaps you even open up to the idea of a friendship; at the very least, an alliance may be in order to become a power couple in a perilous world. From that innocent decision or sense of self-preservation, a new feelings sparks. Something like affection. Something, you realize in the wake of speeding heartbeats, like love. Will you acknowledge this? [Themyscira was a strange place. Part of Earth and at the same time no longer, tethered only in a few very specific places. One of which happened to be in the country of Wakanda, as was discovered when a trio of fishermen found their boats bobbing in island waters rather than the river they'd been on mere moments before. It triggered a flurry of negotiations between the two kingdoms, and eventually, an alliance was agreed upon. Not a difficult thing as both Wakandans and Amazons sought peace, but seeing how isolated they remained in general, it was a tricky thing at times. But eventually terms were set and agreed upon that everyone was pleased with, to be sealed with a marriage, to bind the two realms together in a more symbolic way as well as through bloodlines.

For all the differences between their people, between the Wakandans and the Amazons, Diana felt that she was still reminded of home in how close-knit T'Challa's people seemed to be, how steeped in their traditions even when the rest of the world seemed to leave them behind. The wedding itself was done, the union was blessed, and now it was the celebration. She still wasn't entirely sure how to feel about the whole thing, but so far things had gone well, and she didn't foresee any true problems with her new husband. Throughout the proceedings leading up to the day he had been respectful of her as a person and for her station, and from the way she'd seen him interacting with his family as well as his subjects, he seemed a genuinely good person. So, for all her uncertainties about the idea of being married, she decided she could maybe relax a bit here with him. A smile crossing her face as she caught a familiar beat in the music playing, especially when she spotted some of the Amazons who had come to Wakanda with her mixing with T'Challa's people, seeming to be starting an impromptu dance circle.]

Come, [Was T'Challa distracted? Because Diana was just taking his hand as she rose to her feet, giving him a light, encouraging tug to follow suit.] If my sisters spot us not dancing, they will absolutely carry you down there themselves and make a big scene about it.
