Magnus does not like vampires. They don't like him either, bit that is to be expected. Vampires and werewolves are age-old enemies after all, and this is the home of a vampire clan that has all too recently experienced massacre at the hands of their own. It's not something Magnus can condone but it happens frequently enough within the supernatural community.

When Magnus arrives, he's politely but coldly informed Mademoiselle Genovese is outside. He's shown the route towards the back door and the lush green garden. And then he's left to make his own way forward.
And yes, there's a tree house, a very grand one, at the far side of the lawn. He makes his way there, wondering how best to go about his task. Introductions are usually called for, but he has never had to do such a think for one so young.
