1. Can't deny it - you've tried to run from your feelings for so long and you can't do it anymore. It's time that you show the object of your affection exactly how you feel. Hopefully you don't lose everything in the process!

It's a long, long time since Leviathan was an angel. Long enough that he can claim to barely remember it, the years since then filled with sin and debauchery and so much temptation, they're much more pleasant to think about than what came before. In truth he can remember almost all of it, he just prefers not to; the rebellion, the war, they aren't something he wants to dwell on, not least because it involves the consideration of those left behind.

He'd been young, relatively speaking, and unimportant amongst the heavenly hosts, the rebellion had given him an opportunity to take the power and the spotlight he always wanted - envy was his sin for a reason, after all - and now he was a prince of hell, so in many ways he didn't regret what happened, but there had been angels in heaven that he admired, cared for even, angels that had remained on the side of heaven, and Levi hadn't seen them since.

He spent most of his time on earth, these days, enjoying the entertainment to be had in human form, tempting mortals into sin, it was a work that mostly went uninterrupted - until word reached him that some angels were being sent down to take human form as well, to combat the spread of evil caused by people like him. Some enterprising demon had even managed to source a list of some of the angels they were sending, and there were one or two names Levi recognised.

"Just perfect," he muttered to himself, leaning on a bar in a rundown part of down and staring at the missive on the grubby surface in front of him "He finally decides to interfere and he does it by sending an old crush." the wording doesn't feel quite right, but he's been here long enough that modern parlance just comes naturally.

It's about then that he realises he's not alone in the bar.

Rami was nowhere near as put out but the new set of orders that had been given to those angels who still served faithfully. He was designed to spread hope, so going out to turn those humans who had started from the light had already been within his wheelhouse.

The only difference now was the added danger of openly operating within territory long carved out by the Fallen. Which Ramiel had no exact problem against. If he died, it served a greater purpose, and that was something even Angels wrestled with.

He didn't often trawl bars for this explicit purpose. There were worse places to be, more insidious ways to fall. But rumor had it Leviathan was here. And that... Was a memory that Ramiel still held close, even after Leviathan left the Host and joined the Legions. or something close to it, at any rate.

They'd fed into each other once upon a time, the storm and the sea. They were brothers, friends. Apart yet closer than anyone else Ramiel had wanted to be, if he had been forced to admit such things.

It's a punch in the gut seeing him again after so many millennia. He isn't the awesome creature that Ramiel spent long hours simply watching from above, but the human form he chose to take was still...

He couldn't think like that. Instead he smiled and let just a bit of his Grace pour from behind the own form be wore. The place seemed to light up a few shades. Those drunk seemed to sober up, if only mildly. And as he approached Levi, Rami spoke, mild in tone but his voice seemed to carry the deep rumble of thunder on the horizon, audible only to the demon.

"A brother once told me demons don't have crushes, only conquests." It's meant as a joke. He knows Levi is aware that he's here and he doesn't want this going south by simply being here. "I'm glad to see there's something still innocent rattling around in there." At last he settles, only a few inches between their shoulders.

He stares at the arrangement of drinks at the bar with feigned interest before looking Levi dead on. "And 'finally' isn't the word I'd use."

Humans talked about how the room lit up when those they loved appeared, but they had no idea what they were talking about, an angel unleashing their grace on you blew anything like that out of the water, even just a little. Even Levi felt his heart lighten slightly, though that only made his scowl deepen as he turned to glance at the angel walking towards him.

He wasn't prepared for the emotional turmoil of seeing him again, even in such a contained, mortal form. He was beautiful, he'd always been beautiful, and he carried it with such ease and - yes, grace - that Levi was automatically jealous at his composure, even as he fought to keep his own expression impassive.

The sound of Ramiel's voice, the echoing thunder of it, draws back unpleasant memories he'd rather not dwell on, but he can no more resist it than the sea can resist becoming choppy in a storm.

"Oh I have plenty of conquests, don't you worry," he responded, automatically falling back on defensive sarcasm with a coolly mocking tone, however much it hurt the remains of his heart to use it. It was safer, that way. "Innocent is hardly a word usually associated with me."

"Maybe not," he agreed. A rueful chuckle escaped his mouth, the sound of thunder ebbing away as he reigned his Grace back in. The bar returned to its previous state. The more astute of its patrons looked around briefly in its absence before returning back to their drinks. "It's still good to see you again. Even if it isn't in more ideal terms."

He looked back at Leviathan then, not wanting to talk about the reason he was out in the open today. Or broach the subject of them technically being enemies. Right now he only wanted to converse with an old friend, see if there was something of what once was still lingering.

"Inquiring minds do want to know, however. Who's this crush your were talking about?" He smiled cheekily then, clapping a solid hand on the smaller man's shoulder. "Anyone I know well?"

The one saving grace (ha) of this disastrous conversation was that Ramiel had no idea who he was talking about, that was a good start. He shrugged vaguely at the comment about being good to see him again, he was conflicted as to how much he returned the sentiment, and he didn't really trust himself to actually say anything about it in case he gave that conflict away somehow.

"You know I'm not going to answer that question," he replied with a roll of his eyes, desperately trying to force back that part of him that still desperately wanted Ramiel's attention and was practically preening under this chance to talk to him alone (mortals didn't count).

"I know what's gossips angels are, tell you and it'll be all around heaven in a day, and if rather my reputation as a demon not suffer the indignity of angels giving me knowing looks"
