[ Hearing Aoba's sweet laughter makes Ren's heart skip a beat. It's such a relief to hear his boyfriend in better spirits and it makes him hold him closer. ]

[ He wants to ask about the thoughts Aoba has when Ren is not around, but then Aoba answers for him.

The very idea of leaving Aoba is one that had never even occurred to Ren. He can't imagine ever loving someone the way that he loves Aoba and it makes his heart hurt a little again. As he considers it, though, he can to some extent understand Aoba's anxiety over such a possibility, no matter how minuscule.

He gives Aoba a look full of warmth and affection. He believes Aoba, but he still wants to reassure him. ]
