moar abuse, pls. Abusive parents or partners, mostly. every thread themed such that i start always go too vanilla for my tastes. sometimes i feel like the only person willing to properly play out that sort of stuff. non-con/rape i definitely feel like the only person willing to play out.

then again, i guess i only have myself to blame, considering that i don't really dare to advertise the fact that i like these sort of things.

I'm always annoyed by that so few muses seem willing to be dominant in kink/smut threads, even though the vast majority of my own muses are submissives too. fml.

i used to play dominant characters for smut memes but got sick of getting tagged by people who expect me to carry the thread

This. I get so burned out on always having to be the one coming up with what to do to a submissive partner. I have yet to figure out how to nudge someone else towards carrying more of a scene from the bottom. Even when I'm making someone beg, or somesuch, I still feel like I don't get out what I put in.

Not EVERY thread is like that, but a lot of threads are, even threads that are otherwise really well written or I enjoy. It just burns me out super fast.

as always when this is brought up, it's probably not quite so simple. my guess is that most muns around here have more than one muse, even dozens of them in a lot of cases. We're probably fewer writers around here than we realize. i know for a fact a lot of people like to avoid having their different characters recognized as played by the same mun, as well, as they prefer to stay as anonymous as possible. it's also to be expected that all muns have at least a few ongoing threads to keep up with at all times. it's not always the opportunity to tag with ALL of one's characters, but in the event that someone feels up to tagging you, it might be worth it to put a few muses out there.

it's fully possible to dump all one's characters in one meme, but only tag around with one or a couple of them. one mun can't handle more than a certain amount of threads, after all. also, throwing one's muses into a meme means someone else has to be inspired enough to reply, being sparse with which muses to throw in will only limit threading opportunities.

i personally usually don't post my characters in memes at all, i just scan which characters are up for grabs, and occasionally i reply. i wouldn't get much playing opportunities if people didn't display their stuff.

I'm too much of a pussy to politely refuse people I don't feel like playing with. I often end up with a bunch of threads I don't give a shit about but that I'm too polite to drop.

I mostly blame myself for this, but god, it makes me tired sometimes.

I've always wanted to play non-con/rape too. And incest. And a bunch of other fucked up things. It sucks that most people are squicked by them.

I like doing both, but I have a hard time finding submissive characters who actually do anything other than lying there and telling mine to do whatever they want. I also get the muns refusing to pick a prompt or even give me any preferences at all beyond wanting to be submissive. It's okay to give choices between prompts or ask me what my preferences are, but don't leave everything on me if you're the one tagging me.
