Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex or DURING sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... Vergil and Dante rarely saw eye to eye, even rarer did they grow bored at the same time. What came to pass had started as a joke, then a lost bet. And now one of the twins was miserable and the other expected to have to dig a grave because the eldest to was too damn stubborn for his own good. They were mirror images of each other when they choose to be, they could even mimick each other if need be.

And that was part of the dare.

[Some battles are harder than others. Half are a breeze where the enemies run away like punks, the other half are hours long only to find that they lost more than they won. Then there's the outliers, the ones where someone out there decided to turn the difficulty setting to YOU REALLY HATE YOURSELF A LOT, HUH? and sat back with a bowl of popcorn and laughed as Voltron struggled to stay in formation after being knocked into more than just a few space boulders. They've been at it for a day or two now, one of the longest fights the team's struggled through, and as much as Lance has come to care for Red, he really doesn't want to see it for at least a week.

They're back in the hangar now, slowly climbing down from their Lions in stiff movements that broadcast how beat the entire team feels. Who knew a Paladin could get so roughed up while inside tons of space steel? They all end up going their separate ways: Hunk heads to the kitchen, murmuring about needing to bake to calm his nerves, Pidge announces that she's going to check in with Matt, and Shiro and Allura head up to report in with Coran. Lance says he's going to go take a hot bath, yet he ends up staying behind. No matter how sweaty he is under his flightsuit where the inner liner is getting sticky and clammy against his skin and he swears he's starting to smell a bit rank, he stays behind to wait for Keith.

So here is where the Blade will find him, starfishing on the floor of the hangar, helmet tossed aside and his eyes closed. Lance looks dead, feels very close to it, but he's not going anywhere until Keith is here safe and sound.]

Dogs. Why is it always dirty great dogs?

[ Objectively, it's also apes, jackals, fishmen, and evil mummies trying to kill him, but this time it was the canine kind that managed to leave their mark. They weren't real dogs as he knows them but base beasts, unable to speak and walking on all fours, but their bite still packed a punch on his arm. He felt no sympathy when his resulting roar cowed them into letting go and currently wishes he had gotten a few punches in before they had skittered off.

His ego is hurt more than anything. Cleaning the shredded bites in Selina's bathroom, Tygra's growls thicken the air with his frustration and filter though into the rest of the apartment. Finally annoyed with how much dirt has gotten in the wounds, he calls over a shoulder, ]
