#justcouplethings Part of the charm of being in a relationship isn't found in the amor, the grand shows and trapping. Contentment can just as easily come from the little things - or even the silly things - about being close to someone. At first, you're either naturally standoffish or wary or you're intent on impressing them and not looking like a total nerd. That's how the "getting to know you" process works, unfortunately. As you get more serious...you may actually get less so? Maybe you'll let them see your dorky humor, your weird laugh, your bizarre hobbies, your bed head. It could end up that the two of you have more fun playing video games together, Netflixing and chilling, baking cookies, or sword fighting (if you're in the olden days, where Netflix and cookies are scarce). And, really, you can't help that their clothes are so comfortable on you. It's a good thing you guys are together. You really did gain a best bud. Character, preferences, etc. You know the drill! Thread. Go forth and kill spiders, share clothes, snuggle together for warmth, play Mario Kart, open jars, bake brownies, hang out on the drawbridge of a castle, slay vampires, whatever you dudes get up to. ♥

[Pidge has hit maximum lazy this morning. She's currently sitting on the floor, slumped down with her back against the nearest support thing available, legs stretched out in front of her and the console controller in her hands. Her hair's even more of a mess than usual, and really she's probably still half-asleep while she plays her game dressed in only her underwear and one of Lance's shirts.

Good morning, Lance. This is your girlfriend.]

[Lance enjoys his sleeping in, don't get him wrong, but he's not as bad as Pidge over getting up in the mornings. He's learned that while she might be upright with her eyes open, she's not actually awake in the truest meaning of the word. Hell, look at her now, her fingers are moving over the controller buttons but is what's happening on the screen really registering in Pidge's brain or is she just operating on muscle memory alone?

In the end it doesn't matter. Lance knows she isn't functioning at one hundred percent so having breakfast doesn't occur to her. He falls into the role of supplying Pidge with that, crouching down next to her so he can gently take the controller out of her hands and replace it with a mug of what goes for coffee in Altean definitions. A kiss to the side of her head tops off the exchange as he remembers to hit the pause button because getting her killed in game means he's getting killed in real life.]

[What is awake? What is breakfast? Is that coffee?

She's way too out of it to even protest what's going on, turning her head only when she smells the caffeine and happily taking it when it's offered to her. It's a good thing that Lance knows how to deal with her like this. She's literally on autopilot.

One large sip later and Pidge is slowly becoming much more aware of the world around her, and she reaches to take one of Lance's hands and tug him back to the floor with her.] Mornin'...

[Gentle treatment of the non-morning beast is the key to survival. Slow movement, no loud sudden noises, nothing that will bring Lance back to the one time he snuck up on a half-dead Pidge who had coffee in her hand only to receive a lump on his forehead and a rapidly spreading spot on his robe for his troubles.

That spot never did come out. Who knew space coffee left permanent stains?

Lance has fixed her drink exactly the way she likes it: by doing absolutely nothing to it. No sweetener, no milk, no nothing. Just black like her soul and hot like her boyfriend who lets her pull him down to the ground so he's sitting along her side with his legs across her front and back and Pidge between them.]

Buenos días, guapa... [Good morning, beautiful. The same greeting he's been giving her ever since they fell into this relationship. A greeting that belongs only to her.] Are you coming back to the land of the living and awesome?

[She leans into him automatically, still cradling her mug of Life Brew and sipping from it carefully. Only vaguely is she aware that the coffee should not be spilled on his clothes because it doesn't come out (she'd endured his whining about that for long enough, thankyouverymuch) and tries to be very mindful of it.]

Hm. [Another sip and she lets out a little sigh, settling in more against him. He's warm and why the quiznak does she not have her blanket?] Getting there.

[ Allura's new habit is borrowing Shiro's clothes. He didn't mind it the first time, nor any time after that. And she finds the oversized sweaters that smell pleasantly like him quite cozy.

Allura is settling in for the night after a long day of work. Their current hosts are willing to join the resistance, but they have a lot of their own problems that need work before they can fully commit. She's waiting for Shiro to come back from his own work. She's already showered and changed into a pair of soft pants and, of course, an oversized sweater she snagged out of his wardrobe. ]
