[ half the time she doesn't know what she's doing here and she knows a lot of the rebels are thinking the same thing. she had been an assassin, called the deadliest women in the galaxy, the daughter of a warlord from the Outer Rim (so dangerous that even Jabba wouldn't mess with him), a genocidal maniac. she had been leant out to palpatine, and at the battle of endor she saw her chance - she could escape, she could help.

so she did and she didn't look back. not all of the rebels had been so welcoming. she had killed too many of their families, their leaders, their friends. if it hadn't been for skywalker she was sure they would have locked her up.

it doesn't change what she's done, and while most of the rebels have left her alone she can still feel the glares. she can still hear the names they call her under their breath as she walks by. she ignores it, she's heard worse, she's dealt with worse. and one day - hopefully, she'll have proved herself to them.

maybe that was why when she sees sinjir in the makeshift base's bar she goes over to him. he's in the same place she is. she doesn't ask if she can sit at the table, she just sits and takes a sip from her drink. ]

An Unexpected Bothan Appears!

Pogge grew up handling firearms - when you're a sapient apex predator in a modified ecosystem, part of responsible management of that ecosystem is acting as an apex predator - but those were Bothan long rifles, designed for a Bothan hunting and produced solely by Bothwui and the Home Colonies' internal economy. She'd never fired a sidearm before she joined the Rebellion. She'd handled weapons produced by and for the human dominated Galactic Market, of course. She knows how to recognize one that's well made and in good repair. She can negotiate a fair price (or an unfair price when circumstances run that way).

But for shooting her little hold out pistol that fits her hands in funny ways and is not yet familiar -

She needs practice. And she knows it.

Which is what she's doing carefully signing in at the little shooting range in the lower levels of the base on Yavin, her tongue sticking out slightly as she concentrates over the ledger.
