[ This whole ordeal had left her completely flabbergasted. Not only that, but with an incontestably dry taste in her mouth. It’s been exactly two days, she realizes, but forgiving and forgetting was easier done than said. She clamps down on her lower lip bitterly, her gaze naturally falling towards the floor; her downturned posture seemed like the only suitable form to timidly recoil in when her memory of the entire farce had been all too clear. If only she were capable of escaping her responsibilities and place them blame on something more foreign…

Tsukumo had undeniably made a spectacle of herself the previous day. A slip-up. She’s always cursed her clumsy fingers, as it was something she did her best to conceal under her cool-faced exterior, but she’s fairly certain now of how useless that really was. After all, her fingers weren’t to blame this time. It was her mouth. Inadvertently, she ended up blurting more words than she should have. More than she intended.

Exhaling deeply, she raises her head momentarily, her eyes fluttering open in shame and embarrassment over the recollection.
