*Headcanon that Angela has deep scars along her spine and up the back of her neck. Also probably has many, MANY, many battle scars from often being the one hunted first or shot at the most.*
Considering he's had to fight for his life for over 2000 years, he has a lot of emotional and physical scars. )

Karen's voice is so soft that she isn't even sure she had said anything out loud. It's only the huskiness of her tone that makes her realize she has. They've just made their way into the small place he's staying after a close call, their run back to safety in the rain washing away the blood that covered them both. She had been in over her head trying to get information on a story he had been unknowingly tied to. Maybe she should've been expecting Frank to take on a crime family, but when she asks too many questions and has a gun to her head she's genuinely shocked that he bursts onto the scene before the trigger can be pulled. She's lost in a sea of bullets, some coming from her own handgun as soon as Frank has her tucked behind him. His growls should terrify her, but they only add adrenaline to her own fire that has her taking shots until she's out of ammo and he's dragging her out of harm's way.
The blood that covers the both of them isn't their own, and Karen's thankful that the rain that pours down as they hurry through the streets washes away the more visible evidence of what they've just done. He gets her to his place and she's shivering with how cold she is, rain matted hair sticking to her face. Her clothes are discarded, one of his shirts on in their place. He's already stripped off his clothes and is working on changing, but she tries to stop him before he gets a dry shirt on.
Wait.
He probably has at least a hundred things to say about her putting herself in danger, is probably furious that she doesn't ever listen. Just because they're in a slightly established relationship now doesn't mean that he isn't going to lecture her later. Right now, she wants to just focus on the fact that they're both safe and alive. Whether or not he'll indulge her in that she's not sure. But as she steps in closer to him she's hopeful he might. It's always a fine line trying to decide if he'll be receptive to touch, and she doesn't try to push him now. Once she's in his orbit and rooted to the spot, her hand presses against his shoulder. There's a drawn out moment of eye contact where she tries to convey that everything's fine by look alone, before her head ducks to brush her lips against a scar on his collarbone.
"I want to stay."

[ cass has quite a few scars, mostly made by very sharp knives. he also has some small circular burns on places like his arms and thighs, and there's at least one bullet scar in his shoulder. he's not even a little bit self-conscious about any of them. ]
