The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. Maybe you guys are just private like that; on the other hand, it may be a necessity to keep things a secret from others. Maybe you're both team mates, and others on the team would give you grief, or you're not supposed to be dating, or you're not the type to usually date and you're only testing the waters. Perhaps it's the combination of you two, possibly an odd couple, that would bring some controversy or some teasing. Or, you know, you could not want to deal with friends and relatives being busybodies. Your reasons are your own.

Are you content with stealing moments to be together as a couple? Do you want to make your relationship known and the fact that you can't drives you batty? Remember, there are lots of benefits to dating in secret. You can be yourselves completely, away from prying eyes, and get to know each other better as potential longterm romantic partners. No one but them know what's between them. Elrond might suspect, but Elros trusts his brother to say nothing. Not even to hint anything unusual might be between Elros and Orophor's heir.

Elros has always been the risk taker, and flirting with Thranduil certainly is right up there! But carefully. Out of sight of everyone. Even more a surprise was when his actions were returned.

But...now...he pulls Thranduil aside one night, supposedly just for a walk around their defenses and to discuss strategy without interference.

She was so not his type. Not really. Maybe beautiful and brunette ticked off a few boxes but Janet was ritzy, high end. She even held some title crowning her the high king of fashion or some shit. They had met by chance when he'd been casing a gallery with Richie and Kate.

The trio were in need of an artifact in the museum when surprised with a fashion show being held that night. Seth played it off, that he should have been on the guest list--knowing they were short on time needing the ancient book inside. He managed to catch Janet's eye enough where she allowed him in while seemingly never sold on the idea she just couldn't remember him.

Some comment was made on the suit he wore and Seth challenged her to do better. He really should have left well enough alone but was intrigued, opting to take her up on the offer she could dress him better with her eyes closed. Meeting up had led to sex which wasn't surprising. What was surprising was that they saw each other again.

Here he was at her door again, arrangement of exotic orchids in hand but he would play it cool and not look the part of a lovesick puppy. His life was anything but typical. They spent too much time drinking and indulging physically with each other for questions to arise on what he did for a living.

Maybe flowers wouldn't be enough for another taste but Seth felt compelled to try. She might have gotten word on the theft at the museum, possibly knowing his involvement already. It was a risk coming to see her after everything was said and done but he couldn't help it. He hadn't had enough of her yet.

"Here for my ...fitting," he called with a quick rap on her door.
