- The Meme -

Warning - There are many, many spoilers for the entire series/canon under the cut! Please do not read this meme if you want to avoid spoilers for the entire Puella Magi series.

So one day, a remarkably cute scarlet eyed creature comes up to your character, and gives them an offer it hopes they can't refuse. They'll grant almost any wish your character desires, if  your character makes a contract with him and becomes a Puella Magi (or Puer Magi), destined to fight Witches.

The setting of this meme is pretty simple - One of the characters is an Kyubey (including AUs and crossovers version) and they are trying to make a contract with the other character. Do you want to try RP-ing a Trickster Wishgranter? Does your character have any wish that they would like to grant at any cost? Well, this is the meme for you, in that case!



[How To]

1. Post as your character. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc. Please also write down preferences, etc)

2. Choose a wish and a scenario, or any combinations of any wishes and scenarios you want to try out. Making up your own scenario is fine, too! Either mun can make the suggestions for a scenario.

3. Posting and tagging anon is fine, too, if that's what the muns want, and they may de-anon whenever they wish.

4. Thread, tag and have fun!

[The Roles]

1. The Kyubeys (including crossovers and AU versions). Their function is to go around looking for people to make contracts with.

2. Potential Contractees. They are the potential Puelle Magi/Puer Magi.

[Kyubey, Wishes and You.]

1. Limitations - Kyubey can grant almost any wish any human being can think of, but there are some limitatations. Bringing back people from the dead is normally impossible. Granting wishes that are too big for the contractee's Karmatic energy level is also presumably impossible.

2. Hope and Despair - A wish that gives great hope to the world will also bring great despair. If you hit the wall, the wall will hit back.

3. Kyubey will not 'twist' the wishes. The wishes may 'twist' under their own weight, but Kyubey himself is not going around making things worse.

4. 'Selfish' wishes tend to cause less problems then 'unselfish' ones. This is probably because it is better to wish for something you actually want, instead of what you think you should want, in the long run.

5. Making a contract with Kyubey and becoming a Puella/Puer Magi means that one will lead a life of battle, which eventually ends in death or Witchfication, with no expections - Well, not unless your character can pull off aMadoka level miracle, that is...

[Witches, Familiars and Grief Seeds]

1. Witches. Witches are basically mini Eldrich Horrors who spread misfortune via curses (The Witch's Kiss). They also have the ability to generate a mini world of their own, called the Witch Barrier. Kyubey does not seem to tell his contractee that almost all Puella/Puer Magi basically end up dead or Witchfied, as a general rule.

2. Familiars. Familiars are spawned by Witches, and are some kind of 'lessor version' of the Witch in question. They will mature into full Witches in time, as long as they feed enough. (Cursing 4 or 5 people seem to be enough).

3. Grief Seeds. Defeated Witches drop Grief Seeds. Puella/Puer Magi need those Grief Seeds to purify their Soul Gems. Familiars do not drop Grief Seeds, but they will once they have matured into a full Witch.

[Sample Scenarios]

1. The wish was granted, but things went badly anyway. The road to hell, paved with good intentions, etc etc.

2. The wish was granted, and things went quite well, strangely enough. Not that that would save the Puella/Puer Magi from their eventual fate, in most cases, but at least, the wish itself seems to have been worth it.

3. Do to various reasons, a certain person has not made a contract with Kyubey yet. He can be pretty persistent, though.

4. You are Kyubey, and your life is spent dealing with things that are you do not understand and do not particular want to, either, over and over and over. Fuck his life.

5. A contractee makes a wish that make Kyubey want to beat his/her/it's head against the wall.

6. For once, Kyubey's plans actually work out just as planned.

7. Something Else

[Sample Wishes]

1. Please bring my dead parents/siblings/friends, etc, back! Bringing the dead back to life is normally impossible, but perhaps, if the contractee had Madoka-level energy levels, possible of revamping multiverses...Well, almost anything is possible, in that case.

2. I wish to make Replicas of my Important Dead People! This actually seems to be possible. How good the result would be would presumablly depend on what the wish actually was, and the contractee's energy levels, etc. One could get anything from shambling zombie people to people who are totally functional human beings, if not exactly the same people as their original models were.

3. I want time traveling powers! This is quite possible, as it is actually shown in canon.

4. I want to be beautiful/popular/famous/rich! These wishes will probably be easy enough to grant.

5. I want superpowers! This probably depends on what kind of superpowers, and the contractee's energy levels.

6. I want my family members/friends, etc, to love/like me! The results will probably depend on what the situation was, and how the wish was worded.

7. I want to discover the cure to major diseases, etc etc! This should be not be too difficult to grant.

8. World Peace, please. This will depend a lot on the situation, the wording of the wish, and also the contractee's energy levels.

9. I want mankind to go to the stars! Kyubey will probably run away like heck from anybody likely to make this wish, but let's say somebody managed to corner him...Yes, it should be possible, if difficult.

10. I want that poor kitty who was hit by a car, etc, to be healed. Easy peasy! This is not difficult at all.

11. I want cake! Well, yes, this is very easy, but are you sure you want to make a contract for a wish like that?

12. A Madoka-level miracle causing wish. You want to revamp the local multiverse, or something like that? Let's see how that goes...

13. I want to heal my sick/injured family member/friend, etc! This shouldn't be that difficult, either.

14. I want to change the world! This will probably also depend a lot on the situation, the wording of the wish, and also the contractee's energy levels, etc.

15. Something Else

I cannot grant any wish that take more energy then you, the contractee, can supply.

And the energy that you can supply is based on your 'Karmatic energy level', for lack of a better term.

[The Gundam looks at him, sensors glinting, and starts asking him question upon question about what can and can't be done, with the Gundam's energy levels.]

[This takes a little more then two hours.]

I wish to become a guardian of all the sapient species born or created in the Solar System for a 100 million years. I also wish the destruct, or 'die', before turning into A 'Witch'.

[Kyubey would like to suggest that the robot get rid of the death before witching out part fo the wish, but he's not allowed to make suggestions, alas.]

[Maybe one million years will be possible, if the rest of the wish stands as it currently does.]

[The gundam isn't going to be getting rid of that part, sorry Kyubey.]

So how many years will be possible? 50 million...25 million...

[Who are they?]

Charlie, Charlie, look at that, it's so cute!

[The girl squeals.]

Snoopy, look at that! Is that a cat or a rabbit?

[The boy is called Charlie, the girl is called Sally, and they have a beagle called Snoopy, who is now looking at Kyubey, hackles raised.]

[Kyubey looks at the dog. Not sure if want.]

[Sally on the other hand has no such qualms, and is grabbing at the cute critter.]

[Sally carries him over to the table, and pushes her princess knight doll over to the side.]
