THE SURVIVAL HUNT MEME


INSTRUCTIONS:
1 - Post a comment with your character's name and canon.
2 - If you would like, write a note on where your character is and what they're doing.

4 - Use Random.Org if you get stuck for ideas.

WHERE ARE YOU?
1 - ISLAND. Out in the middle of the ocean, and no radio to transmit a distress call.
2 - WILDERNESS. Out in an endless forest. Maybe you got lost camping; maybe you're on a journey.
3 - DESERT. Sand. Cacti and scrub. You're gonna get real thirsty, real fast, and watch out for how cold it gets at night.
4 - RUINS. Ancient ruins, or is it an abandoned city? Either way, the wreckage of civilization may offer shelter.
5 - FROZEN WASTELAND. Everywhere you look, there's nothing but ice and rocks.
6 - SPACE. Alone on an alien planet, or drifting in a spaceship. How do you survive with only the materials you have around you?
7 - BATTLEFIELD. It's a war zone, and you're trying to make it through. How do you hide and stay alive?
OTHER.

WHAT DO YOU NEED?
1 - FOOD It might take weeks to kill you, but you're hungry now.
2 - WATER. Even more importantly, clean water, unless you want to get sick.
3 - SHELTER. It's raining, or snowing, or maybe you saw a tornado touch down a few miles back. Get inside now.
4 - WEAPONS & AMMO. Those zombies aren't far behind you, and your rifle's useless unless you have the shot for it.
5 - CLOTHES. Whether it's a heavy jacket and a good pair of boots or your buddies left you naked halfway along the Appalachian Trail, what you need is some clothes.
6 - HEAT. Time to build a fire, or share a blanket.
7 - THAT THINGAMAJIG. Got plenty of cans of food, but no can opener. Maybe your last pair of shoelaces broke. Maybe you're in desperate need of a pair of solar-charged batteries for your industrial-strength hairdryer. Either way, it's just one little thing that you need, and you can't seem to do anything without it.
8 - OTHER.

[ Sure thing! Bruce is thankfully a pro at random survival skills thanks to being on the lam for the good part of a decade. ]

[What if the rebellion hadn't worked, and instead all of Panem had imploded on itself in war? The Capitol is a wasteland now, any remaining population hardened into survivalists who would kill you as soon as look at you, and there's a young girl who has just stumbled into it from District 3 looking for some sign of civilization.

But no, just like the districts, the Capitol is lost.

She wanders through the empty streets, sluggishly climbing over rubble with weak limbs when she must, a naturally skinny girl that is now nearly emaciated. She's also poorly dressed for the encroaching winter, a simple sundress hanging off her tiny frame and her feet covered only in sandals that have practically worn down to nothing.

Will anyone show their faces to help her?]

[Phil can't remember where they are, exactly. It's a city, she can tell that much. Buildings cropping up all around them quickly leads her to that conclusion. But this city has been through some kind of unspeakable tragedy; most of those buildings are at least partly in ruins, flora forcing its way through every crack, Mother Nature trying to reclaim what was stolen from her.

It's getting dark.

She checks over her shoulder again as she crawls over another pile of rubble, making sure that Bruce is right there behind her. If they can make it out of the city center, out to where it'll be easier to be spotted, they have a higher chance of getting rescued. She just has to stick with him.]
