This meme's really simple: your character and the one who replies to yours are on their honeymoon (at a beach, a secret cabin, the universe's finest scientific facility because you guys are both huge nerds, on the run thanks to your wedding day being poorly-timed or spur of the moment since your enemies decided to attack on the same hour, Vegas, at the local Waffle House idk do you but you might wanna include some setting ideas in the top level unless you like to live dangerously) and presumably having lots of married, honeymoon sex. This meme isn't that deep, bro.

[Mostly she's looking at him. She never would have thought that she would be standing here as his wife, and he probably could say the same for her. But life had changed the both of them and now here they were starting a life together.]

[Potemkin has hardly allowed any space between them since they set off, closing in with a giant hand laid over Leo's arm or his chest right up at the man who could almost stand up to him. So when Potemkin looks down at Leo out of gentle concern, his perspective is forced into a warped angle, but he somehow manages.]

[What was presented on the masterfully decorated table was delicious, but it's in Potemkin's nature to be concerned over every opportunity.]

[This is why he married the soldier. People thought it was bizarre as they figured Leo did it to strengthen the bonds between Illyria and Zepp. But Leo was honestly in love with Potemkin. The somehow larger man has a heart of gold and is surprisingly doting. How can anyone not fall for that?

Only a fool, that's who! And Leo Whitefang is no fool.

He squeezes the large hand and gives Potemkin a very pleased grin.]

It's amazing. I've not had a steak like this in a very long time!

[And with that, he signals for refills on their beer.]

[Potemkin, content with such a confident answer, leans away and straightens at his seat. But he keeps his hand in Leo's the entire time, never breaking the touch.]

Hmmm. The taste is as good as reputation.

[He watches Leo move around and gesture at the table. The man's honesty and energy never became less enjoyable to him. In fact watching him gives him so much entertainment, it's become the main event, because Potemkin's mug is far from empty.]

[Leo's prided himself at being the best, and that'll include the best husband. It helps that he believes Potemkin deserves all the good things. He chugs his beer with his free hand as he continues to hold his new husband's with the other.]

I didn't know you had such refined tastes. I'm learning more about you every day.

[He gives Potemkin a drunken wink, all while the servers bring them their final course.

It's a monstrosity for sure: a medley of caramelized fruit, crumble, and plenty of cream.]

The happiness of being married to Edward would be eternal, that much Leopold was certain of. For a man that once believed love was impossible for someone like him, that Edward adored him and wanted him and thought him perfect even with his inclinations towards science was more than Leopold could ever ask for.

But this glorious interlude-- the feeling of being free, of being able to be himself-- wouldn't last forever. Soon Leopold would have to leave Andalasia, to come home to his uncle and his butler and all the people who were counting on his marriage announcement, and then declare to the world that he had been married, had even found a royal to be wed to, and that that royal was not a princess, but a prince.

It made the honeymoon a little sourer than it should be, obviously. Edward had lovingly led him to a chamber in his castle close to the garden that Leopold found so exquisite, and they'd had sweets and drinks and Edward had sang for him, but now as Leopold sat there in his white suit and watched as Edward ambled about the room to set a fire going, he found himself filling with dread. He was happy to be married, and he was happy for the ring on his finger, and he was happy that his husband was everything he could ever ask for, but he was still afraid, and uncertain of his fate now that he was privy to sodomy. Leopold tried a small smile when Edward faced him again-- this was the happiest moment of his life, after all-- but his heart felt heavy at the same time it felt light, and this oxymoron would haunt him for quite a while yet.

"I love you," he said, firm and honest. Leopold's fingers tightened and loosened in the sheets beneath him, and he wondered if he was saying it for Edward's sake or for his own. To remind himself that this love eternal was worth any scorn that he might earn when he returned home. "Edward... my heart is yours. You know this, don't you?"

The joy of being with Leopold had filled Edward to the brim. The prince had long forgotten his failed first love as it had been replaced with a love far greater than anything he had felt before. Leopold was perfect to him in every way; he was handsome, smart and passionate. Most importantly he made the prince smile like an idiot each and every day.

They'd had a wonderful start to their honeymoon with enjoying drinks and treats, and Edward even sang a song he'd written just for Leopold. A song he had poured all his heart into. The smile on Edward's face as he listened still lingered in the prince's mind.

After he got the fire going, Edward joined his newlywed husband with a loving smile on his face and blue eyes glimmering. "I love you too, oh Leopold. I have not a single doubt about it. Your heart's always safe with me." He knelt down and took Leopold's hand between both of his, kissing it a few times. "You've made me the happiest in all of Andalasia. In all of the world."

Edward's touch was warm, the expression on his face even more so, and like clockwork the sense of fear Leopold felt was lightly swept away. He reached his free hand out, knuckles gently stroking Edward's cheek before dipping lower towards his jaw, and then he bent just enough to press a kiss to those smiling lips-- soft, gentle, and lingering.

"And you've made me happy," he whispered, kissing him once more. "So happy you've no idea.

"But I worry my people won't be."

The smile on Edward's face widened at the feel of Leopold's soft lips against his. His heart was doing flips from all the love he was feeling towards the duke.

He pulled back from the kiss and gave him a more concerned look. "Your people.. My love, I'm so sorry." Edward couldn't understand why Leopold's people weren't able to accept their love, why they'd try and make him feel guilty for being happy. "Love should not be judged. It is between two people and it's the most sacred and beautiful thing. I hate that you are not allowed to feel it so."
