MOVE IN TOGETHER meme

After months and months of dating, or at least love/lust from afar or admitted chemistry, you and your special someone are moving together. Maybe it's into your dream home, maybe it's one of your places, perhaps it's a hole in the wall and the only place either of you could manage. Still, it's yours, and that makes everything more than all right. You're on your way to domestic bliss - or will you both realize that living together can mean a few more disagreements and a few less rose-colored glasses than there were together? Cooking and cleaning and other chores for two are no easy job. And, of course, you have to be prepared for a greater level of intimacy, in whatever form that takes. How to Play Comment with your character, gender preference, and any preferences such as no smut, fluff only, yes smut, angst, etc. Reply to others. Feel free to play any scenario, any angle, any scene taking place from the moment of moving in onward. You don't even have to really play it straight - maybe your characters are having to live assumed lives and under new identities.

[Hank states as he opens the door to his house, eying his android over his shoulder. It was a natural conclusion after the whole Android Revolution that Connor come back to live with him. He couldn't go to Cyberlife and Jericho was going to have their hands full trying to get their people into residences as is. He was just lucky that Connor managed to convince his new revolutionary friends that Hank should be allowed to stay.

Hank pointed out, probably more sarcastically than necessary, that it would probably be a good idea to let people who couldn't leave to stay as well, but hey. Who wants good press?

Either way, here they were, and here Sumo was, jumping up to put his paws on Hank's chest.]

OOOOF, Sumo, get down you big lug - right, first rule. First person home walks Sumo, got it?

After her daughter had moved to Finland and taken all the additional residents and occasional guests along, the rest of the household had decided to offer the room with the separate entrance in the back of the house on the market, and eventually Kaisa, who had done the interviews and showings had picked someone.

Maybe they should have made someone else assist the one adult member of the household who couldn't see spirits, though, she thinks as she curiously eyes the unusually ...more-than-companion-spirit spirit attached to this person. Not that those kinds of life spirits are unusual, but she's never seen one that seemed this ...physical. Reinforced. That's something that would've been useful to know ahead of time.

"Anyway, your entrance is here, around the back. They added this building a few years after the main one, so while there is a connecting door, it's pretty much independent of the rest." She looks away again, indicating a path leading around the house, before looking back at the new house guest and her spirit, and then gives the spirit a polite nod. "Hello. Excuse the rudeness, I was just surprised."

[ Not very many people would be willing forgive the likes of Asura for the sort of person he was in general. Much less for the things he did to people personally- in truth, part of the reason he did those things was because he didn't want forgiveness. He wanted to be an unapproachable monster so that no one would dare try to reach his heart for fear of what would happen to him if they did.

His fears had been somewhat founded in that when Orihime had forgiven him and even showed concern for Asura, it had broken a part of him. Thankfully, a part of him that he was better off without. Technically he was still a terrifying monster that defied all logic and had an obsession with her. But he preferred to call it 'devotion' and hang around her like a very large, demonic puppy.

The fact he was actually a total dork when he wasn't trying to be intimidating probably made having him hanging around easier. For example, coming home to find him on his tip toes balanced on the back of a chair, attempting to string up a banner clearly painted with his fingers hoping her a 'happy anniversary' for their first week in the same domicile. Despite the fact he could fly or use his scarves as arms. Or any other number of solutions. ]

Juuuuuust a liiiiitle mooore...

[In the immediate aftermath of the peaceful android revolution, the police were one of the first things that got back up and running. Except for a certain Lieutenant, who was in deep shit with Internal Affairs for clocking an FBI agent in the face.

And then for raising a huge stink when CyberLife tried to sneakily come in and pick up Connor, throwing an unholy fit like a soccer mom who found out Helen brought peanut butter bars to a school-wide bake sale.

Anyway, the point was that it took several months for Hank himself to end up back on the force; longer, even, than it took for Connor to be invited to be sworn in as a full-fledged detective. But when he was finally allowed back on the force, he was pushed by Fowler to celebrate his new lease on life by becoming the head of the new Android Crimes Unit. Which came with it, besides the revitalization of his flagging career, a relatively decent bump in pay.

So (with an intense amount of reluctance and anxiety) he sold his house and bought a house in a moderately better neighborhood. The house sold to a group of androids who were just excited to have something that was theirs, and shit, it was kind of adorable.

The new house was the same size, two bedroom, one bath, fenced yard, the works. But the difference was that one bedroom was no longer a silent memorial. Connor had come with him to look at the new house (of course; his name was on the deed too, a gesture toward making sure that he would be provided for after Hank's inevitable death that was probably less subtle than Hank thought it was) but Hank was pretty sure that the android had yet to realize that the second bedroom was actually his.

And now was the first of the two days they'd taken off to unpack and settle in, now that the movers were done shifting everything over to the new house. Even just having the days off was nice, honestly, Hank was pretty sure he hadn't seen this many hate crimes in his entire career in Homicide.]

( it was embarrassing for her to admit this but she was broke. not the cute kind of 'oh I can't buy my fancy drink for the day' broke, but 'your account is withdrawn' broke. she was living pennies to pennies each day and overall refused to be a burden on anyone. she was a strong and independent woman who needed nobody's help. until the day she did.

when uryu offered to help pay her bills, she refused. when he offered to let her move in, she thought about it. it made sense for them to move in together- after all they were dating. still she did not want to hassle anyone and refused until she was practically kicked out.

so with a number of boxes and a sheepish look on her face, yuuki began her new life in uryu's apartment. )
