The second time he sees her, he's waiting in the back of her vehicle, knife in hand. The wear and tear of traveling through time was catching up with him. This had taken too long. They hadn't sent him to the right place, weeks before she'd even be reachable. He was running out of time, and he thought that the pink was just his vision spotting again.

It's a short jump from then to now. He remembers crawling up the stairs, trying to brush off the concierge. Everything else is bits and pieces until he opens his eyes and sees her.

The third time he sees her, she's sitting in the chair opposite the bed, outlined in the softest rose pink he's ever seen, and he suddenly realizes how much trouble he's in. ]
