[ It was hard to find time together with everything going on with the Galra, Lotor, and their quest to save the universe. Even their downtime was filled team building or training of some kind. Not that it wasn't important of course, but it left Keith and Shiro finding new ways to spend time together. Mostly relaxing with each other, sleeping over every once in a while, but they've yet to take that last plunge.

The pair had discussed it, and it seemed to be something they both wanted, but it was never the right time. Keith didn't want to do it just to say it was done and over, and in truth, he was a little nervous about it. A good nervous.

It had finally been a quiet day when Keith decided to come over to Shiro's room to 'visit'. They were sitting close together, practically on top of one another. Keith grabs Shiro's hand, lazily lacing their fingers together. ]

Did you have any plans tonight, Shiro?

[As difficult as it was finding enough time to spend together, that paled in comparison to how hard it was for Shiro to come to terms with what's been left unsaid, lingering in the air between them.

It's not that he doesn't want to. God knows he's thought about it a lot in the past few years -- and especially in the past few months. He's more afraid that it would create a shift in their dynamic -- in their everything -- and things will change. How, exactly, he doesn't quite know. It's a deep-rooted fear that even he can't understand.

(And yet, he still invites Keith over anyway. Maybe it's not fear. Maybe it's something else altogether.)

He blinks out of his daze when Keith's fingers slide between his own, calluses touching.]

No, not really. Just thought I'd go over some specs Pidge had drafted up then turn in.

[A pause, as his gaze travels up from their joined hands to meet Keith's.]

Why do you ask? Do you have any plans?

[ Keith was not worried about how their relationship could change, he didn't even consider it a possibility. But maybe that was because of how much he already felt hopelessly connected to Shiro and a healthy dash of his own inexperience. It never occurred to him that it could change for the worse.

They have gotten close a few times before when their kisses would get carried away, which normally resulted in a long cold shower for the younger. Though Keith was never discouraged, always coming when Shiro invited him over. As much as he wanted to, he didn't want to push it. ]

Oh, sounds good. [ Keith nearly jumps at the question, sitting up straight and stammering. ] I -uh- I... No! No plans...

[ It's almost painful how terrible Keith is at lying. Taking a breath, he settles back against Shiro's arm, looking down at their hands for a moment. ]

I mean, I thought maybe we could... go further... since it's been so quiet. [ He squeezes Shiro's hand, looking up at him, gauging his expression. If he wasn't ready he wouldn't press it, Shiro knew that by now, or Keith hoped he did. ]

[The stammering and poor attempts at lying has Shiro blinking in worry but he's able to push that aside and focus more on what Keith's offer. His eyes squint and he finds his voice going softer, instinctively.]

Go further? As in...?

[It's fairly obvious what Keith means and Shiro wouldn't be honest if he said he didn't know what he'd implied. But just talking about something so plainly isn't so easy for them. Things tended to head into that route or they didn't.

This is rather new.]

...

...is that what you want?

[ Keith notices Shiro's expression change, that softness in his voice that always put him at ease. He takes a slow breath. Moving slowly, he throws a leg over Shiro's and slides onto the bigger man's lap, facing him. His own voice softens just a bit as he straightens Shiro's collar. ]

As in.. sex.

[ He moves his hands to Shiro's shoulders, massaging the muscles there. Keith nods at the question, smiling mischievously. ]

Yeah. That's actually what I had "planned" for tonight.. [ He leans forward to press his forehead against Shiro's. It's why he got a little flustered at first when Shiro asked. ] But only if you want to.

Do you want to...?

[That massage is nice and good, helps alleviate the tension coiled in his shoulders and brings a slow, lazy smile over Shiro's lips.]

After you've put in all the work planning it?

[And with Keith straddling his lap and breathing in the same minimal space, how can he even possibly say no?

Forehead still pressed against Keith's, he breathes in lowly, eyes closed, and rubs the tip of his noses together, affectionately.]

Of course I do. I just wanted to make sure it was something you wanted, first and foremost...

[ Keith eventualy trails his mini-massage to Shiro's back before lightly clasping his hands behind his neck. Shiro's smile was infectious and Keith couldn't keep one off of his own face. ]

Well.. it wasn't much planning. Mostly just had to wait for things to stop for more than a Dobosh.

[ He laughs softly, returning the cute nose rub, taking a moment to appreciate Shiro's tenderness before kissing him softly on the lips. ]

Shiro.. you're amazing, why wouldn't I? [ Keith shivers, excited that this was becoming a reality. It almost didn't feel real. All those times he thought about it and it was finally happening. Now all he had to do was keep his excitement at bay so this didn't end too quickly. ] I've wanted to for a while now... a long while.

[ He whispers against his fellow paladin's lips, nipping at them playfully. ] I want you, Shiro.

(Up for some relationship hijinks between these two or would you prefer we start a new one -that involved Homura or even Katsuragi/Ikaruga- based off one of our previous threads?)

[I would prefer Asuka/Homura or Katsuragi/Ikaruga, but that sounds great!]

(Since you signed in with Asuka, how about we continue with Asuka/Homura from this thread, have it take place a couple or days or so later? I wouldn't mind going back over our old threads someday either.)

[Sounds good to me! Since it's relationship upgrade, maybe this is when they decide to be honest and admit they're a couple and should start dating? (And then bang to seal the deal, obviously.)]

[Another thing with these two? Maybe transitioning from already being friends (maybe with benefits once or twice due to circumstances) to actually being a thing and making moves on each other on purpose? ...she'd probably have to either start it, or seduce him into starting it, to get through his obliviousness and idolizing...]
