The AU family meme!

Happy Father's Day, have some family shenanigans

Based on the classic plurk meme--

1. Post your character (you can include little details if you wanna)
2. Other character responds
3. Surprise! Now you're family (siblings, parent/child, heck--whatever you want)
4. Play out AU family shenanigans
5. The last time I posted this meme the comments got up to 420. Nice.

[ Prefer found family jamjar AU-style. She'd be the aunt that teaches a kid to use a grenade launcher or the slow-burn waifu (30+ M/F) unless you want to just roll with a forced family concept!

I especially am a sucker for holiday shenanigans, if that meets a want for anyone.

[Would you be up for a Mayfield-esque setting (so forced family), perhaps celebrating the first Christmas together?]

[ Absolutely! Sorry about the wait, my electricity went out and I quickly gave up on phone tags! :') Mayfield was Holly Heights but horror twist, right? I was in HH but didn't even hear of Mayfield until much later...

Give me a bit to absorb your info in the journal too c:

[[Yep, pretty much! I think HH was like, the SoL aspect of Mayfield isolated.

Also feel free to switch to brackets if you'd prefer that.]]

When he first arrived, it was... surprising, and actually rather relaxing. He was used to rooming with a group of other people, and though the way in which the drones and the whole place prescribed certain family roles to everyone and limited their outside life accordingly was uncomfortable, it didn't impact the little unit of their household terribly. In a way, the household was a respite from the outside world and its Stepford strangeness, inside those walls everyone was just who they were.

Even though it took Colin a while to admit to who he actually was, werewolf and all. He was just too used to hiding that. But then, it wasn't like his housemates were regular humans.

...And then, then he'd woken up one morning and both his assigned "sister" and "father" had been droned, their personality and anything that didn't fit with 50ies-Earth-stereotypes of a perfect teenage girl and a perfect family dad taken away from them.

And the way in which the outside world tried to enforce very specific narratives on him had suddenly existed inside the house, too. Which is why as the holidays approach quickly, he wanders into the kitchen one evening a bit awkwardly and addresses Jill.

"Did you have anything planned for Christmas?"
