Macaire is someone I'd love to see out of a Victorian setting so perhaps he should cross the pond?

Valryn Melana
The drow prince you love to hate
This one, staggeringly, walks freely on the surface, looking not a mite bit lost or confused. He looks absolutely at home at these royal galas as much as he does in the dark, smoke-heavy corners of the seediest taverns. He seems to know everyone, seems amicable enough through that tensely-cut smile, and moreso, he seems to know everyone's business...
But does anyone know his? Or is he simply getting into the business of others? Whatever it is, you're starting to think, lately...you're seeing drow around a little more often than you used to.
[ Valryn is an original character out of Dungeons & Dragons; don't know jack about D&D? whatever! that's fine! I'm here to write, not roll more dice than I need to. (which is...so many.) I do not seek an encyclopedic knowledge of D&D in any potential writer! ]

if you have something you want to plot (if there's any current meme up you want to draw my attention to, or something we want to draw up ourselves), we can chat here or feel free to PM me, any time, whatever you prefer.

and another drow! heck!! this would be very interesting too -- Valryn is already playing up how important he is considering being 'noble blood' barely means jack down home since he's male, so there would be a lot of tense breath-holding about that. oooh boy. do you imagine tensely-neutral-which-is-to-say-friendly cr, or rivalistic cr? what kind of situation is this drow of yours in? their intense cultural details make it easy to put such a variance of ideas here, I can't help my curiosity.
if you have any top levels or memes you want to turn my attention to, or want to plot from scratch, chat here or PMs are great!

Loretta
The Pirate Queen Naga
She was kidnapped by pirates as a child, and essentially raised by them - even if not pleasantly. Loretta took her first opportunity to escape, rather than being sold as a curiosity from far away lands.
Still, Loretta was impressed with the freedom of pirates, the way they held themselves with confidence and sailed all across the world. Not knowing any other life, not having any of her own people to look to for guidance, and being a little cold blooded by nature, Loretta decided that she was going to become a pirate herself. More than that, she was going to become the pirate queen.
She has a natural charm ability. She can turn into a massive snake... and she dreams of the day when everyone will know her as the Captain of her own ship.
Her world is your basically fantasy land, easily adaptable for any sort of adventure.

ISOLDE (LILITH, ROSALIE, THERE'S A LOT OF NAMES)
witch, demon, actual awful person
She, along with other women of her village were tried and killed for their involvement in witchcraft. She spent at least a hundred years in hell before she got the opportunity to leave as deal-maker. Eventually she left Scotland for the US and has been staying there since in various forms and names.
Her relationship with Hell is rather in a bad shape right now, as she refuses to make deals based in the various covens and communities she sets herself in. (As well as a few other things that can't be forgiven. Stealing beasts for her own personal use, killing the various higher ranking demons they send after her, etc...)
Despite this, her relationship with humans (and humanity) is regulated as either a thing that keeps her amused or a horrible race that deserves every indignity done to them. She has killed and disrupted many human lives and will mostly continue doing it.

Ambrose Sinclair
dead, in love with life
Until fate chose this as the time for intervention, and an enemy his sire's arrived to take their (very much deserved) revenge. Ambrose and the rest of the fledglings were buried alive, trapped and abandoned, to isolate the sire. Ambrose doesn't know what happened past that point -- he only remembers the pitch black darkness, the small confines of his crude wooden enclosure, the muffled screams of the others buried with him in the earth. No one returned for them, not for nearly 200 years. Ambrose was exhumed and mistaken for remains, though something sparked an awareness, enough consciousness to react and escape -- a prick of blood, perhaps, is all it took to awaken his mummifying body after so long in the old earth.
He was a vampire out of time, stumbling through the 21st century bemused and befuddled, trying to make sense of everything around him -- culture, people, himself, what had happened. Some of these things he didn't care to try to remember, but he came to discover that he, and vampires, are not the only godlike beings walking this earth.
Often played a couple of years after reemerging, established at a theatre in New York staffed mostly with other metahumans, pseudo-monsters like himself, building a craft to engage with the world and connect that mutual humanesque experience of life and its many mysteries. Ambrose both delights and despairs, for every beautiful new understanding of this modern life, he struggles more with the bonds of murderous instinct that flirts with the line of desire. His struggle now is to exist while trying to strike the right balance between his morals, his beliefs, and himself.

Magnus Macaire
A Werewolf of Independant Means
Unlike most werewolves, Macaire doesn't live in a pack but has a number of human servants, as you'd expect for a gentleman of standing. Unlike most "loner" werewolves, he's not crazy without any understanding of the rules of society. Neither is he a brutish monster with two left feet, a tongue untutored in modern languages.
He is, in fact, a fantastic political player, dabbling in intrigue, scandal, empire building and commerce. He's a man with many sides, but on the outside he's a charming, respectful and witty gent. Take a turn around the dance floor with him, or a delicate conversation at the opera, or if you feel very forward, send him your card and invite him for tea.

rey.
Synthetically-engineered WMD and fire hazard.
Though chalked full of issues with esteem and self-worth, there is an overly protective quality to Rey. If she finds something innocent, helpless, and/or beautiful, she will go through great lengths at the cost of her own safety to protect it. While taking little care of her own wellbeing, she can be nurturing of others when she finds them worth saving. Having spent so long being a tool for death and destruction, she wishes to try and be a force for good.
Moody and emotionally stunted, Rey has little experience with social norms and civilian life. When she isn't being shot at or in great danger, she struggles with adapting to situations that many would find normal. Her inexperience with passion and intimacy does make her come off as somewhat naïve sometimes, if only to put some distance between herself and others. Due to a traumatic experience that led to the death of her mother, she struggles letting herself feel "worthy" of anyone's love and affection.
The world Rey hails from is a technologically progressive one, with many setbacks due to the meddling of agents from a race of synthetics created by humans centuries ago. As a result of many decades of war-torn history, humanity is not as far advanced as one would expect, but they get by.

Ginny Payne
do opossums even have powers?
One of five sisters and daughter to a rich, over-achieving mother, Ginny's used to creating her own sense of worth. She's everything her mother hoped she wouldn't turn out to be - casual, a bit scattered, and willingly talks to strangers. Ginny isn't prone to too much chatter, but she's friendly and more curious than cautious. She errs on the side of positive, although she's inherited at least one trait from her overbearing, socialite family: a tendency to dig her heels in on any issues that are important to her.

Evellethine Dawnsinger
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, / Old Time is still a-flying
Here is more information on the blood elves specifically, but to sum up everything: WoW is your typical vaguely fantasy-like world, with typical (and not so typical) fantasy races, orcs, elves, humans, dwarves, etc. The blood elves are former high elves with an addiction to magic (now cured) who suffered a major loss at the hands of the Lich King. Lots of important, world-ending and world-saving events have happened, places have been discovered, and people died or were reborn or went off time-traveling. The elves mostly hang out in their partially rebuilt city, help their faction when needed, and walk around thinking they're better than everyone else.
Lettie mostly doesn't care about any of that. She's a mage but a very poor one at that, likes parties and people (all kinds of people, they're the best) more than fighting, and is generally a happy-go-lucky, friendly elf with some of the superority complex of her people and most of the charm. She does have a voice that charms and enchants and is a musician by trade and practice.
[ note: Knowledge of WoW isn't required and I am happy to AU her into a vaguely generic sounding elf. I can work with or without game mechanics/spells/whatever. ]
