'Cause, sometimes, you just can't save yourself.

1. A Bad Date - You get a text, a phone call, or maybe you can just see the other person floundering on what clearly must be the worst date of their life. Time to step in and save the day.

2. Prison - Maybe they've been wrongly convicted, or maybe you're an accomplice. Either way, it's jailbreak. Maybe the guards will fall for the old 'wounded prisoner' technique.

3. Taken Hostage - They're being held at gunpoint, either for money or for fun. Maybe you can talk down their captors, or maybe you are a captor, secretly working to help them.

4. Abuse/Neglect - Your body is damaged, your suffering taken it's toll. You can't save yourself anymore. You're wounded, you're starving, maybe even dying. Someone, help.

5. Addiction - Just one more. Nothing bad will happen if you just get one more. Either way, you can't save yourself from this downward spiral. Someone else is going to have to help.

6. Yourself - One bad choice after another, your self-destructive tendencies are going to get the best of you unless someone steps in, quick, to save the day.

7. Climactic Situation - You're hovering over an active volcano, a pit of sharks, about to fall off a cliff. Whatever it is, you've only got precious seconds of life left.

8. Loneliness - You've been secluded, locked away, and the emptiness is overwhelming. You need company, or you might just drown.

9. Unwanted Social Function - A family reunion, your three o'clock board meeting, whatever it is, you desperately don't want to go. Hopefully your good buddy can come up with a distraction.

10. A Bad Romance - You're trapped in a relationship that's headed south, and you can't seem to get away from the other person. Looks like you need a helping hand, maybe a prince charming.

[The Team isn't busy all of the time. There are the times where only half of the team is gone, and there are times when everyone is off with their respective mentors...it just so happens that there's a combination of both going on, and Beetle is the odd man out.

Or, at least he is until La'gaan decides to pass up a visit to Atlantis to spend some time with his also recently rescued comrade. He has a feeling neither of them really want to be alone right now.

She'd tried to remove it earlier, but the pain was too overwhelming for her to succeed. Breathing was becoming hard, but still, she persevered, her healing factor doing its best to regenerate cells that were rapidly failing.]

W-where is it? [She slowly patted her side, her fingers searching for her COMMs device. If only she had a way of signaling for help, and she'd run out of ammo hours ago.] Someone... help...

After all, Thor is ever so much more likely to duck out of an event like this than Loki is.

[ Loki curls his fingers, praying for the spell to work as it's meant to, and not to destroy the throne room. It is a flash of blinding light, a shiver in the floor, and one of the six fountains of wine, the one in the corner, in the corner begins to crumble, crystal crashing in on itself. All eyes go to it.

Loki darts away down the hall. ]

[brittany met someone else after santana dumped her. she didn't really mean to, because she didn't want to be with anyone else, but she was sad and lonely. maybe a part of it was her trying to figure out more about herself; if she liked all girls or only one girl.

it was nice at first to have someone again, but she wasn't santana. she didn't treat brittany right. she would pick on the things brittany said, and sometimes laugh at her innocence. britt usually wasn't one to just take such a thing, but she's been feeling pretty bad about herself since she and santana broke up.

she hasn't been in touch with santana really, and the other glee club members have been worried about her. they want her to find someone better for her. she's just starting to doubt that she's good enough to be with anyone else.

tonight she's sitting at breadstix. her girlfriend stood her up, and now she's just sitting there pushing at her food with a sad panda face.]

[In a small corner of the world of the Enchanted Forest is a wood that is rumored to be haunted. However, the creature that stalks the trees doesn't match the description of any ghost, wraith, or any creature known. It is known only as the "Ghost of the Forest" and has garnered a reputation for attacking those who pray off the weak. Many a bandit, highwayman or corrupt warlord has gone missing in those woods, only to appear tied up at the edge of the forest the next day. Each one babbles incoherently about being attacked by some kind of creature, though the description of said creature varies from man to man. Whatever the case, the woods have been called a haven to merchants and travellers, and a hell to those with wickedness in their hearts.

Maybe you've come to investigate these rumors, or perhaps you have no choice but to pass through these woods. For whatever reason, Mulan will find herself in the woods that are said to be haunted... and surrounded by a group of bandits who either hadn't heard or don't believe the rumors of this place.

The men begin to converge on you, with various evil intentions shining in their eyes when something happens to get the attention of everyone present: a lasso made of vine suddenly descends from above. Tightening around the waist of the bandit at the rear of the group, the man is hoisted screaming high into the air, vanishing among the tangle of branches and leaves. The unmistakable sound of fist connecting with face is heard before silence once again fills the air. The remaining bandits suddenly looking very pale.]

He could never have expected what came forth. Not the rush of chaos and the droves of reanimated beasts that flooded the world, tearing through less-protected towns and razing them in little time. He never expected, while picking up and drinking a concoction of his sister's making, for the potion to be not only ineffective of treating his gaping wounds, but pulled him, and the surge of monsters, elsewhere.

Where exactly he was now, the demon-souled mortal, Ezekiel, had no idea.

But wondering where exactly he was was second to trying to fend off the beasts long enough to find somewhere safe to stop himself from bleeding out. Normally impassive features scrunched slightly in concentration, gold eyes glowing in the bad lighting, he continued to summon bursts of fire from his fingertips, targeting not only a beast that had managed to get too close, but also some of his surroundings to put up a tall wall of flames.

He could feel the blood seeping through his tunic, and it was the sheer will to live that kept his body from giving out. He had never been a physical fighter, so with the beasts trying to get up close and personal, he had taken far more damage than he had anticipated.

If he didn't get a break of this assault soon, however... he realized that death could swiftly come in.
