Well, in terms of my best memory I suppose it's a toss-up between the first time I actually flew on a broom and Yule Ball. [Y'know, back when things were normal and simple. Naturally it's vague, but those are pretty decent memories, and they're memories that don't make him flinch.] I don't exactly hold onto memories very well. [Or rather, he chooses to file everything away and selectively remember when he feels like it.]

As for the most vivid..., well, that's a tie between things associated with the Astronomy Tower and things associated with the Cruciatus.

Oh. And being a ferret. Never again, thanks ever so.

The Yule Ball? Somehow I didn't expect that. [Although maybe anon should have, all things considered.]

Memories can be a strong asset or a terrible disadvantage. It's only natural anyone who had been in a situation like yours would limit how many of them they retain.

The ferret, really? I would have thought those would have been the haziest.

Neither did I. [All things considered, but really, it was kind of...nice having a night where nothing mattered. He had Pansy, he had his other friends, things hadn't shot to hell yet...he had been fourteen and invincible as far as he's concerned.]
