MOVE IN TOGETHER meme

After months and months of dating, or at least love/lust from afar or admitted chemistry, you and your special someone are moving together. Maybe it's into your dream home, maybe it's one of your places, perhaps it's a hole in the wall and the only place either of you could manage. Still, it's yours, and that makes everything more than all right. You're on your way to domestic bliss - or will you both realize that living together can mean a few more disagreements and a few less rose-colored glasses than there were together? Cooking and cleaning and other chores for two are no easy job. And, of course, you have to be prepared for a greater level of intimacy, in whatever form that takes. How to Play Comment with your character, gender preference, and any preferences such as no smut, fluff only, yes smut, angst, etc. Reply to others. Feel free to play any scenario, any angle, any scene taking place from the moment of moving in onward. You don't even have to really play it straight - maybe your characters are having to live assumed lives and under new identities.

They're making it happen. Faster than he was expecting, but Midnighter just doesn't have that much stuff. Dick actually looks a little bemused at the box he's holding.

"Did you want to bring anything else from your place?" He's not actually sure it can leave M's place, considering.

Midnighter kind of. Shrugs. He's lived with other men (well, one) before, but he's never done the whole moving in thing. He was homeless and Andrew took him in, that's different.

So he hopes he's doing this right.

"I mean, I could move the supercomputer and the 3D printer, but they're kind of... they need a big power source." He shrugs apologetically; maybe Dick wanted those? "I can always Door back if we need them; it's not like I paid rent on my old place."

But, that's nice. My old place.

Dick just grins and bumps shoulders companionably with M. "Yeah, might need to wait for a bigger place before you move tech in."

And he can't resist leaning in and pressing a kiss against M's cheek, "Come on, I got a drawer all cleared out for you."

Midnighter laughs (a gruff and ugly sound) despite himself. "We'll save that for the first down payment on a bat cave. C'mon, babe." He grabs Dick's hand, opens a Door, and practically drags him through.

'I know I've asked before, but...are you sure Yosuke?'

It was a rather serious move, but she certainly didn't say no to him. Having to think it over when he first came to her about moving in. Honestly, she's not sure what could have triggered it. Her place was certainly big enough for two people. She just had to adjust things for the closet space than anything else.

Head tilted to the side as her hand rubbed along the side of her neck. What did his parents even think about him just moving out like that? She didn't want to cause any sort of problem for him even if it was his own decision.

Yosuke's decision came from a myriad of different factors, from his strict parents overwhelming him, the desire for a taste of freedom to, of course, spending more time with his girlfriend. And that was just a sample of the reasons. It was, however, not a light decision taken on a whim.

Actually, it was mostly his parents.

So when Yosuke approached Makoto, he was not kidding about wanting to move in with her someday. However, he hoped he did not come across as forceful, wondering if he would get shot down.

Consider him surprised and really freaking happy when she came back and said yes.

"Never been more sure of anything in my life," Yosuke replied, reaching out to hold Makoto's hand. "I've been thinking it over and over, and I really want to do this. That is, if you want to have me."

A bit forward, yet she rather liked it at times when he was.

Though, being so serious about it flustered her. Room wasn't much of a problem least it was big enough for a couple of sorts to be sharing that is. If he really wanted to be here with her then she didn't mind at all whether she was more so the reason or his parents. Honestly, she got the impression they might not have liked her too much since her background wasn't so great with why she had to move around and then already living on her own.

Finger shyly scratched her cheek when he held her hand.

'Ha...~ W-well, I won' task again if you're really that sure then. I'd be more than happy to for you to be livin' with me Yosuke.'

Regardless how long that may be, but they would make the most of it, right?

His shoulders relaxed and he dropped his bag on the floor, glad Makoto still permitted this. With a goofy smile, Yosuke stepped forward, opening his arms.

"Um, guess I'm home?"

Ivan likes Noel. He likes Noel a lot. Sure he gets attached easily because the people he has in his life are few and far between but the point is he desperately truly deeply wants Noel to stay with him.

It's still another person in his space so ... he's maybe freaking out a little and needing time to adjust and look we're just happy this didn't involve furniture and movers because then you would truly see a nerd meltdown of epic proportions.

As it is he's already been rearranging furniture and decor for an hour. Even things that are not at all effected by Noah being there. Every time it looks like he's going to stop he steps back, checks a room, and goes back to shifting the couch five millimeters while muttering under his breath.

Noel doesn't have much in the way of furniture. In fact he has none. He happily sold away everything he had and only moved his bare essentials. He knows how particular Ivan is about his place so even the idea of existing in the same space in a more permanent way will freak him out.

Noel is not surprised by this at all.

He arranges his suits neatly into a space that Ivan points out for them and puts the few things he has gathered onto their respective places. A mug with a clever caption, a throw pillow and his bathrobe. A few towels and a really good skillet that he put a lot of money into. A laptop and well, some guns. His belongings fit into a few large bags, though.

Ivan is still upset but Noel knows it's not because of him, not really. He doesn't make a big deal out of it. He leaves Ivan to fret on his own for a little bit. He knows what will calm him the best.

Finally he puts down the book he was reading and approaches Ivan. He leans on the living room door frame, hands in his pockets and ankles crossed, just watching him for a moment with a small, fond smile.

"Do you need help moving things around?" he asks gently.

"It's crooked, I know it's crooked and it wasn't before I dont think it was anyway and I'm certain I'd have noticed," Ivan replied with a sort of breathless frustration edging on alarm.

He paused for a moment, just to try to calm his breathing, looking between Noel and the couch and a spot on the floor. It occurred to Ivan then that he was very lucky - Noel seemed to understand that this was an Ivan thing and didn't take offense.

If he could just fix this one thing everything would be fine.

"Does the sunbeam look like it's coming in crooked to you?"

It was kind of a spur of the moment, blurted out after sex kind of statement but Nick didn't regret it. He wanted to spend more time with Noel and was over almost every night when he wasn't working anyway so it made sense to move in together. Liam made enough money to afford their apartment on his own so there wasn't any guilt about it.

And Noel said yes. Nick was really excited about that. They hadn't talked about their relationship a lot but it felt like the next step, like they were serious about one another. Nick was definitely serious about Noel. After that riot and Noel looking after him Nick's heart just dropped hard into love and there was no getting out.

They took a few hours to move his stuff in. He didn't have a lot of furniture since Noel's place was already furnished. The most important pieces were his computer and computer desk which had to be set up just so. That took the longest. Otherwise, it was just a bunch of boxes to unpack and clothes to hang in the closet.

Noel had very little against Nick moving to his place. All he wanted was for Nick to promise him that he would lock the door properly, with all the various keys. He wasn't jealous of his space. He had agreed easily, later asked if Nick thought he could actually fit into Noel's flat or if it would get crowded and when he had said yes, Noel had accepted that without making a fuss about it.

He wasn't a homebody. Definitely not. His flat was a place where he collected his belongings and slept. Noel had long since learned to think about any residence as temporary. Even the current one.

Nick being there was convenient. It was nice. Really nice.

He helped Nick carry his stuff and set up his desk. His only rule about it had been that the desk wouldn't come to the bedroom. His bedroom was completely bare of any technology and would stay like that.

He made room for Nick's clothes and his little knick knacks. It was easy because Noel had always liked minimal decorations. Simple designs. There was room in his modern apartment for double the amount of furniture he had.

Nick came up behind Noel when there was a pause in unboxing things and wrapped his arms around him while nuzzling between his shoulders. "So, no technology in the bedroom does that mean all the fun toys are going away?"

He was teasing, of course. He didn't mind Noel's rule about technology. It would be better for his sleep schedule anyway since he wouldn't be tempted to do late night surfing when Noel wasn't home.

Ducking around he grinned up at Noel. "I think we could take a little break. We haven't even talked about dinner or anything." And being a young man Nick was getting a little hungry.
