They must have heard us last night
[She knew it, she knew that was a bad idea if they were going to do more than just sleep. 'Careful' apparently wasn't careful enough.]
Let me guess: you are asking how much trouble you're in because you already did it?

Maaaaybe? I mean, he lasted longer than expected, so kudos to Cap. He didn’t flinched through my retelling of my first baby delivery while still doing my residency at MetGen, but he bailed when I started to talk about how research has shown that an orgasm a day is beneficial to the brain and moods, and protects against burnout and the likes. I offered him some tips, you know, from a doctor to a patient clearly in need of some, but he suddenly had an emergency to take care of...
[Yes, he’s very amused and pleased with himself. Serves the Captain right, calling him ‘son’]

[Definitely in the doghouse. There's a long moment where his phone will inform him Wanda is typing as she tries and erases and tries again. She's pretty annoyed at both of them, honestly.]
You didn't have to try to embarrass him. He isn't handling it well, but he is just worried about me. And this won't help.

[The moment he sees that long 'typing' notice, Stephen knows he's in trouble. But at the same time, he really couldn't help himself.]
I didn't do it on purpose, but then again, I didn't expect to be sat down to be given the talk like a goddamn hormonal teenager! That's really insulting, you know.
[Stephen knows Steve was only trying to make sure he would be taking good care of Wanda and went around wrong about it, but it had pricked his pride, and before he knew it, he had been the one giving the Talk to the captain, in a very unusual way. He screwed up just as much as Cap, but he's too proud to admit it. At least, at the moment.]

[Sam by extension for sure. Nat - questionable, but likely nothing Wanda can't salvage. She knows, and so far she's been content to keep a watchful eye on them and her mouth mostly shut. Aside from gentle teasing, that is...
Wanda sends her a quick 'help' - she needs to get out of here before Steve recovers and comes to find her. Something, anything, on the other side of the world sounds great right about now.
She'd need to run at least that far to have any hope at escaping the mounting embarrassment.]
I don't know why he chose that to confront you about, but sometimes you do act like a horny teenager, love.
[She'd been expecting him to object to how quickly they were moving, to Wanda possibly mistaking the safety Stephen provides for love, or to the difference in their ages, not...that. And now Stephen's made it infinitely worse. Wanda's pretty sure she knows exactly where Steve's mind is going to go the next time he sees her.]

[Well, he's at least angry enough that he doesn't really have time to censure himself on how he sees their relationship. But Stephen is still angry at the Captain, but perhaps at himself as well, letting his temper get the best of him when he could have brushed the issue more gracefully. But he's a private person by nature, and very much unwilling to share details of his life, even more so his love life, to anyone, including Wanda's teammates and makeshift family. This felt like boundaries being rather pushed hard against.]
Well, this is the first I hear you complaining about that...
[Ouch, his pride. He's nothing like a horny teenagers: he can think of the future and the consequences of his actions. He's never been the best at relationship, but Stephen would like to think that he's learned from his past mistakes, and that he knows what he wants a hell lot better than a kid with a raging boner.]

She's caught between too many people she can't afford to lose and it's stifling.
Reaching for him provides little comfort, and Wanda psychically flinches away. The anger was to be expected, but the rest...she hadn't meant to hurt him, or start another argument, or break even more things that were perfectly fine before somebody decided to meddle. So when her phone buzzes again with a message for Nat, she's quick to suggest a short trip home.
Not here, but home-that-was.It's about four minutes before Wanda starts typing again, and this time it's short.]
Nat and I are going out. I'll be back later tonight.
I love you.

He feels her psychic touch and is not quick enough to reign in his emotions before she feels his anger and his hurt pride. He instantly regrets it the moment he feels her withdraw from his mind, but he's not equipped to pull her back.
Her next text is almost expected, because why would she need space from him, after all? Even after all this time, he's still pretty talented at pushing people away. Something tightens in his chest, even if she writes how she loves him.]
I'll be here when you come back.
Love you too.
[He's an idiot, and somewhere in the afterlife, he's pretty sure that the Ancient One is shaking her head in disapproval...
ooc: New thread is here!]
