MEMORY SHARE MEME That says memory share, not memeory share. Anyway, the gist is this: characters get a chance to share memories with another one. It can either be voluntary or involuntary (on both characters' parts. maybe discuss nonconsensual telepathy and shit ooc first). Mind melds, pensieves, jamjar situations forcing it on everyone, whatever. Sometimes you experience the memory like it's happening to you or sometimes you experience it as though spectating it. Sometimes you get to choose which memory and sometimes you don't. It all depends. Maybe it changes your relationship forever, maybe it catches you out in a lie. In any case, now you know something about each other you probably won't ever forget. • Top level your character. Include any details you might think are relevant, like what memory they would be sharing. Or don't, we're not the cops. • Reply to other people's top levels! • Have fun!

The glimpse at Connor's memory of dying in Hank's arms sent him back to that moment like he was reliving the terror he felt all over again. That very same feeling of losing part of himself each time he had to witness Connor die.

Lorna isn't much for memories. Hers aren't all great, other than with Marcos, and her recent memories of being in prison are ones she'd really just like to forget. There's a whole lifetime of memories to stumble through, some slightly mediocre and most downright terrible; it's sad when mediocre is the best to pick from. The good memories, the precious few she has, she holds those close.

So, when there's a guy walking around with her powers, she's intrigued. It's been a while since school but it doesn't take a lot of genetics knowledge to know that the X-gene is hereditary and someone with her particular powerset is probably related to her. Since her dad hadn't stuck around to see her raised, she's interested in seeing who this guy is.

...so that's why when she's hit face first with a memory, a memory of a boy twisting and bending a metal fence and screaming for his mother, Lorna recognizes it. She's had the same memory, more or less, about her own manifestation.

-Dumping bodies. This happens...well, with quite a bit of frequency.
