  Doesn't everyone like to be pampered and spoiled? You could certainly understand the desire. How about receiving the benefits of experience and knowledge...through someone else, someone older than you and more distinguished? Be good, then, and you'll be rewarded. Be bad - well, remember: a punishment isn't off the table for someone with your youth. They're so young - yet so, so tempting. But you know what they say. The more forbidden the fruit, the sweeter the juice. They're absolutely off-limits. And wouldn't you love to taste them, no matter if you feel guilty or not? Look at yourself. Do you feel like a pervert? This person could be an outlier, or maybe you've always had a weakness, even if you didn't realize it before. At least you can take care of them like few others chasing after them could. You know exactly what they want and need.

perhaps it was rude of her, dropping in after such salacious messages without any sort of beck or call. one could argue their content on it's own was invitation enough, but regardless her petite frame lingers now outside of that motel room, fiery locks tussling with the wind that greets her cheeks. she's in a simple cropped t-shirt, cotton sleep shorts, nothing impressive, and the only pair of undergarments beneath being a lacy set of panties. who slept in a bra these days, really?

When he sees Wanda, dressed so lightly in the cold air, he's quick to open the door and usher her inside. There's a click as he locks the room behind them, his hair messy enough to indicate that he'd been lying in bed before her arrival. ]

now, here inside with him, every little thing can be heard, including the slightly stuttered exhale that leaves plush lips as she tucks hair behind her ear. she should've planned this out better, really, but there's a certain recklessness that comes with grief that propels her forward. steps are lazy, almost a graze as she nears him, but she stops a mere two feet of distance. )
I didn't want to be in that place anymore. ( a haunting reminder every turn she made. a tilt of her crown, gaze slipping to assess his tousled, undoubtedly quickly pulled on shirt. the hint of creamy flesh left exposed at her stomach burns. )

He found that in Peter.
The kid was so much smarter than anyone he'd ever met before. In a way, he reminded Tony of himself. At first, he tried to tell himself it was just mentoring. He wanted to be a father for the kid, the father he never really had. Inventions. Talking about inventions. Even helping with school. It had all started so easily. Even May was nice to him. It was a foreign feeling. He felt like he was doing something good. He'd invite Peter over after school, show him things he was working on. Sometimes they would even just hang.
That's when the feelings really started to grow. Peter was funny. And smart. And a bunch of other things, too many for words to simply convey. Tony found himself thinking of Peter even when he wasn't there. It was wrong, so wrong, but he couldn't stop. Couldn't stop thinking of him. Couldn't stop hanging out with him. It was like an addictive drug. Even now, he wished Peter would just show up. It was too tempting.
Which is why his car was parked outside of Peter's home. He shouldn't be here, waiting for the kid to come home from school like some lecherous jerk. He should leave. He needed to leave, but he wouldn't.
Instead, he waited.]

When he was nothing more than the dude who provided a suit that Peter probably could've handled better everything was a mess. The events that transpired after Peter got his suit more or less proved that. Everything may have turned out alright in the end, but Peter was pretty sure that was just dumb luck. The boy was struggling with pretty much everything and then Tony seemed to step up. There was no dodging calls or leaving Peter on read. Hell, if anything, they spent too much time together. Weeks had gone by where he'd seen Tony at least six out of seven days and...he didn't mind. Not even a little.
Peter lit up whenever he got to see Mr. Stark, much like he did when they first met except what once was simple admiration for one of the greatest minds of all time had grown into affection. He still wanted to impress the man, make him happy and proud, but now...everything felt deeper. The feelings had increased in intensity and Peter didn't really know what to do with it or even how to describe it.
So, he didn't dwell on it and instead tapped on Tony's window, not even surprised to see him waiting out front.]
You coming up, Mr. Stark?

Kid. I... [He wants to, but he's torn. Is May home? Is she not? Would that be better or worse? Should he just invite the kid back to his house? Too many questions. Nodding his head, he got out of the car and slammed the door.]
Got to talk to you. Can go up? I have a new suit I want to tell you about and I have an invention I'd like your help with.
[He came over, placing his arm around Peter's shoulders, clapping him on the back of one.] School. How was school? Learn anything? Trust me, it's public school. Just get through it and then we can talk. I have pull at MIT, ya know?
[He smiled, gazing down at Peter. When did the kid's lips look so soft? He swallowed, pulling his arm away so Peter can let him in.]

[It totally wasn't and Peter wasn't being challenged in the slightest, but he couldn't take handouts from Tony anymore. Not after everything the man had provided for him. His pride wouldn't let him. Not after Tony helped them out with rent when May just couldn't make it, gave Peter a suit, helped him focus on school when he needed to and was even there for him emotionally when everything got to be just too much. He couldn't let Tony get him into a nicer school. No.
May wasn't home when Peter lead them into the apartment - off doing some community thing that was going to keep her out late like she did every Wednesday now. Peter tossed his bag into an open chair in his room and shrugged off his hoodie as well, tossing that into the closet.]
So...new suit? Invention?
[Peter plopped down onto his bed, leaving enough room for Tony while he sprawled out against his pillow.]

[And he really, really couldn't. Which is another reason why Tony doesn't push the issue. In addition to it being totally wrong. He knew that if May found out, for whatever reason, Peter would not be able to lie about it. Not with a straight face.
He blinked, looking around, frowning when he realized they were alone. Well, that was a development he didn't see coming.]
Uh, yeah...
[He followed Peter into his room, gently closing the door behind him. Slowly, he shrugged off his jacket and draped it on the chair before sitting down at the foot of the bed. He was painfully aware of just how close Peter was. He swallowed, forgetting his words for a moment and just staring.]
Right, uh... Suit. I made an iron Spiderman suit for you. Need you to try it on and try it out. Specs I need to calibrate. Uh, yeah. And a shield. I'm working on a new shield for Cap. Since I kind of took the old one when we weren't on good terms. Uh... You're good at throwing the thing around, so..."
[He is babbling. And he knows what it looks like when he babbles.]
Why can't I get you into MIT? You're being wasted in public school. Is it the friends? I can't promise I can get them in either, but I can try to buy them in... You, wouldn't need to. You're...
[His voice took on a softer quality to it as he looked at Peter.] You're amazing.

[Peter spoke as he sat up on the bed next to Tony.]
But, uh...thanks. Thanks, Mr. Stark. You're...you're too good to me. You're the amazing one. [He grinned, looking into Tony's eyes. A warmth overcame Peter as he digested exactly what was said. For a long time now it'd only been him and May. There was no male figure for Peter to look up to or be there for him - May tried her best to be everything for him and she was more than he could ever ask for, but it wasn't the same. With Tony he had a male who was proud of him. Who liked him for who he was.]

[He really was a good kid. Happy had been right about him. His head tilted to the side and he smiled at Peter. Before he could stop himself, one hand reached out and he placed it gently on Peter's shin.]
I'm not amazing, kid. Trust me on that. If I was amazing, maybe Pepper wouldn't have run off. And... [He sighed, giving Peter a look.] How many times have I told you to call me Tony. Not Mr. Stark. Just Tony.
[His eyes flicked down to Peter's leg, pulling his hand back as he shook his head.]
I'm fine! Of course I am. So, the suit. It's really good.
{Tony smiled a little wider. When he needed to default to something, he could default to tech.] This suit? You're going to love it. It's fabricated with advanced protein-scale nano-technology and exotic materials handling. It has LEP skin display, impact sensing armor integrated life support and all-spectrum communications powered by a hybrid opto-electronic computer. It also uses super conducting, high performance plastic throughout. You will never need another suit again!
[Anything to distract the kid. And himself. Right?]

[It was hard getting out of a habit. Especially when Tony was...Mr. Stark. Tony Stark. Tony.
Tony wasn't fine - Peter could tell. He rarely, if ever, mentioned Pepper and if he did it was only when Peter had shown up unannounced and he was already a few drinks in. Peter barely noticed the touching of his shin. Before, like when he thought Tony was trying to hug him, it would've been off. But they'd grown so much closer in such a short amount of time that physical affection wasn't even a thing to Peter any longer. He reached out and grasped Tony's shoulder, brows raising.]
All that sounds freaking awesome, Mr- Tony. But the suit I have now is awesome too. Why'd you build me a new one?
[He waited a beat.]

[He laughed, looking up at Peter's hand on his shoulder. He swallowed, almost wanting to rip the thing off of him, but he doesn't. That would just require more questions. More answers.]
Why not have a new suit? This one is iron. It will last longer, be more durable and give you more protection. I...
[He sighed, his voice trailing off a little.] I don't want anything to happen to you.
[Because if something did happen to him? It would probably kill him.]
You ever have this thought like... Like you want to do something but you don't? Or you can't? Because you know it's wrong. It's very wrong, so you don't act on it. And it tears you up inside? Because you want to? But... But there are repercussions...?
[His voice is quiet when he speaks, lasting only a moment. When he gazes up at Peter, so close to him, he shakes his head and shakes Peter's hand off his shoulder. He's quick, jumping to his feet.]
I must have been drinking again. Just... Just ignore that.

Perhaps not warm, of course, but she’s never warm, not as far back as she can remember (and her family wouldn’t have given her any example, that’s for sure). It doesn’t come naturally to her. Not among her peers, even the closest ones she’d call friends without much prodding, and not in a moment like this, where she’s at her most relaxed.
Right now, she sits on the faded goldenrod velvet couch she’s come to know nearly as well as the student desk chair in her own dorm, her arm flush against Charles’ as they linger close. Her pinkie finger rests contemplatively, understated, on his thigh. Since coming to the Institute, she's received one on one tutelage from the headmaster himself. It'd been a necessity for her to live with the other students. She had to learn and embrace the mutation that had caused her mother to leave her behind out of fear.
To control, at first. Then to grow stronger. The lessons had started out that way, until they’d both acknowledged the connection unlike anything she’d ever felt.
Well, there's a reason she rejected that boy's shy overture besides being uninterested in him or, as she'd rightfully said, unable to “date” in a way that wouldn’t destroy a city block eventually: she doesn’t want to kiss anyone aside from the first person she’d ever kissed, her professor.
One can’t feel guilty unless they grew up with the taboo. Kept away from the world for her own so-called protection, Raven didn’t. ]
I don’t think I did the wrong thing. Do you? [ She doesn’t have to ask, so she doesn’t - vocally, at least. They never have to talk unless they want to, and they often prefer to communicate through their minds.

She was the most beautiful mutation he'd ever seen. Her powers were limitless. She was one that needed help above all else, because her powers were so strong. He had to help her. In doing so, he'd grown closer to her than even his own family.
He tried hard not to think about the fact that nobody else knew. It wasn't taboo if it wasn't spoken about.]
Arguably, you did what was right for you and for him. You let him down somewhat gently. You didn't lead him on. These are all signs of progress.

-the spider's must be content to be alone, though. Or it knows no other alternative. Raven used to be that way, seeing no option but solitude, the same as how it'd been so much easier to suppress what needed to be before she knew what it felt like to touch. And, even worse, to be touched.
After the fashion Charles is touching her with now, soft and with a touch of reverence she's unused to. Perhaps, if some feelings are bound to spill out, they're best funneled towards one safe person who can handle that.

She leans in, cautiously, her forehead brushing his temple (for only a breath) as her hand wraps around his wrist. As she tracks his heartbeat, she tries to regulate hers to match. ]
He’ll be fine, though. He’s...nice. That's why he feels everything so strongly. [ Even a rejection that, in the grand scheme of things, didn’t matter much, is everything to those who embrace their full spectrum of experience. There's no belittling this perception. ] That affection he has can go to someone who can give it back.
[ She doesn't have to look at him to gauge his reaction, yet she does when she asks: ]
If I would have said yes, how would you have felt about it?
[ Now matter how reserved she'd been at the beginning of their one-on-one sessions, her blossoming curiosity has become ravenous. Surely this is just another one of her new-found questions. ]

[He won't tell her how much he likes her leaning against him. Those private moments that is just the two of them. Or when they spend time together late into the night, when both of them should have been sleeping. When she touches him, he feels the spark against his skin like a burn, one he can't help but crave.]
He's young. Resilient. In time, he'll bounce back. That's why I like my role here. All the students, you are all so bright and you warm my heart.
[Some more than others. He has learned too well the pain of heartbreak, lived too much and experienced more pain than he hopes Raven ever feels. He wonders, briefly, why all the women in his life that he had feelings for were called Raven?
His eyes soften and he gazed up at her. He wondered when she was going to ask.]
Do not ask a question you do not want the answer to. [He gazed up at her, raising an eyebrow.] I would hate it. Utterly dreadful. I would wish you well, hope for your happiness, but inside I would be broken.
