Vampires have nests. But none of those have connections that can compare to the bond of a werewolf pack. You should know. You're part of one, either born a werewolf or turned. For humans, blood is thicker than water; for wolves, the pack is to the bone. Of course, with humans, romantic relationships can complicate closeness of other sorts. That's not the case with werewolf pairings, as they tend to grow out of natural pack dynamics and are viewed as just another facet of life. The only difference is that werewolves tend to treat relationships, even potential would-be-mates, with extreme seriousness. Luckily you have someone to guide you through it, either the person who bit you, or someone who's found you in the nick of time. ☽ With Who Turned You: You're romantically or sexually linked to your "creator," so to speak, probably because you have nowhere else to go. They seem to treasure you, though, no matter how much they hide it. ☾ Alphas: Both of you are top of the pack. ☽ Alpha and Beta: It's a classic case of the leader and the second in command: a perfect team up. ☾ Omegas: You two find solace in each other even when you're both at the bottom of the pack structure. ☽ Closer Than Family: The romantic and platonic lines are blurred. [ It's the scent that first catches Harley's attention. A whiff of someone new drifts through the crowd and makes her nose itch. Sure, she's been locked away for a while and sure her pack relationships are tenuous at best, but honestly the least they could do is give her a heads up on newbies in the neighborhood. She tracks the scent to an alley and finds. Uh.

A bag stuck to a dumpster with a spiderweb. Gross. But it looks like the bag is full and the scent of her mystery date is still fresh here, so she figures he'll be back for his stuff and settles in for a wait.

Her patience lasts about ten minutes before she gets bored and cuts the bag free for a snoop, which is why Peter comes back to find his belongings strewn around the alley and his bag held hostage by a reject roller derby pinup. ]

[With its golden streets and legendary sunset view, Twilight Town had often been considered a place of beauty and wonder by those fortunate enough o live there. But little did the residents know, monsters prowled the streets of Twilight Town, when the sun set and the shadows grew long. And he should know; he was one of them.]

[There were many tales of werewolves, of how their hunger and bloodlust transformed them into mindless killing beasts. Or how they possessed a cruel cunning that allowed them to lure their human prey to their demise. And Roxas knew that some werewolves were just like the stories had portrayed them; slaves to their desire to hunt and stalk and kill. But some were like the blond, wary and distant and just trying to survive in a world that either didn't believe they existed, or were terrified enough to hunt them to practically endangered status, if supernatural beasts could be considered endangered.]

[Roxas had been fine with being the distant type. He had friends, sure, but he always kept them at arms length. Not because he thought of himself as dangerous; being born with his 'condition' meant a lifetime of coping with and controlling his instincts, as opposed to the poor souls who had been bitten and forced to adapt. But rather, he was fearful of what might happen if someone found out what he was, how they might react. Would they still see him as their friend, or as a monster? Would they run in terror, or try to hunt him? He was too afraid to know, and thus never made close friends with anyone who wasn't of his pack.]

[That is, until he met her. Naminé. She was sweet, and kind, and always saw good in everyone, no matter who they were. She had become one of his closest friends, almost as close as his pack mates. It was why he had decided that tonight, he would tell her everything. He felt that, as his closest friend, she deserved to know just who, and what, she was getting into with being his friend.]

[But as they walked along through Sunset Terrace, his nerves began to flare up as old fears arose. He didn't want to frighten her... but would she still accept him? His thoughts kept him somewhat distracted, despite the casual air around them.]
