You've messed up. Whether it be a small squabble over who got the last beer or a big, big betrayal, you have hurt your lover/spouse/significant other/friend with benefits enough to get them angry with you. For the moment, this relationship is on the rocks. But still, you want to make things right.

After your apology and attempts to make amends, or perhaps as part of that attempt, you need something to reaffirm the bond between you two. There's something to be said for make up sex; it can help you both heal you hurts - and, at the very least, it can show that you can be in the same room together.

Sometimes Logan hates how his body's hardwired to respond to Victor. That even now -- with his knees on either side of Victor's chest whilst his husband has his back flat on the floor, and Logan's fists are curled into his collar and there's a snarl written in his throat -- the fact that they're this close is threatening to make him hard.

But that would cheapen the situation. Not that it's a good situation, either, given the dead bodies surrounding them after a job well done. At the same time, though, it wouldn't be the first time Logan wanted Victor's dick in the middle of the battlefield. And at least it's marginally better than sucking him off while enemies were still firing at them.

God. His jeans feel tight.

The point is... the point is a pregnant woman just died. A casualty of war, certainly, but Logan knows what it's like to see red, pumped by the thrill of the kill and digging claws into the nearest warm body you can find. In a way he can't blame Victor, even if he'd seen those claws dig into a soft belly and pull out. It's not like they'd known she was pregnant until they smelled it when she died. The guilt swallows Logan up anyway, and he's snarling, and he thinks he's saying words, but it's really just -- "Why the fuck do we keep doing this shit!?"

Looking at Erik where he's seated atop his mattress (not the first time, something in his gut reminds him, but Charles sets the memories aside with a flick of the mind), Charles curls his fingers a measure tighter into the metal armrests at his sides.

"But joining a mutant with plans like that," he murmurs, hand lifting to pinch the bridge of his nose, "what were you thinking?"

He's trying not to sound cross. Trying not to sound angry, even if the sensation is there -- bubbling under his skin, burning like lava. Getting cross with Erik only ever makes Erik cross with him, and quite frankly Charles doesn't think he has the patience to deal with a full blown fight right now.

The fact remains, however, that he cares, and that care is the only reason he asks what he asks. Asking Erik in the heat of matters is different from asking him after all his said and done, and he only hopes for a little cooperation.

A little kindness, now that it's them in Charles' room and no-one around to hear.

James' only regret is that his eyes were shut when he did it -- that he didn't look up at her as he came in the wetness of her heat, finally, after holding off for God knows how long to get her going first, again and again -- but that feeling is short-lived, and in the end he's just happy to have her here with him.

Brunnhilde looks perfect on top of him like this, lit up just slightly by the small slivers of moonlight that make it into his crappy, crappy bedroom. He drags rough hands (they'd never been rough before) up her body, one resting on her belly while the other comes up to the back of her neck, and brings her down so he can kiss her.
