He'd like to feel guilty but he doesn't, it wasn't his fault that SHIELD had been too full of themselves for attaining the Winter Soldier to evaluate him properly, and he sure as fuck wasn't going to fill in any of the blanks for them-- he wasn't any happier to serve as their weapon as anyone elses. They were just a little more humane in the way they handled him.
"I'll carry you." It was irritating, but he couldn't blame Derek for being equally deceitful. They made a decent team otherwise, so far as to say that the Soldier was almost fond of the other agent. Enough to cooperate (though he's still a handful. He imagines there's a decent amount that gets left out of his handler's reports.)
