crack pairing

An unusual relationship of any kind of fandom (i.e. books, television shows, movies, ect.) that is unlikely to happen.

OR

Randomly take two characters… they don’t have to know each other, they don’t have to show ANY signs of a relationship, and hook them together. That is a crack pairing.

We all know them. Fandoms have fostered these little gems of shipping since the early days, and now, they can even be serious contenders in even the most hostile of shipping wars. Maybe they're absolutely ridiculous and only "for the lulz." Perhaps they make perfect sense...if you squint. Whatever the case may be, these so-called "crack" pairings are not canon and they're nowhere near as popular in fandom as the big fanon pairings.

Most of the time.

Of course, it's important to note that a lot of the time in RP, pairings are always crack pairings. Especially crossover ships, which canon purists would deride purely for being impossible. Still, in memes, that's less likely to happen because people either stick with canon ships, fanon ships, or close CR because of the lack of opportunities for development that games offer.

Not here. This meme is for ALL your ridiculousness, all your high school fangirl dreams, and just plain not being sorry for your ships. Think these characters would be cute together? Go for it. That character have adorable icons and that all you know about them? Ship it, by all means. Here, the reasons come after the desire.

As the lecture comes to an end, Isaac glances at the list that they've been handed out to check his designated project partner, it's not someone he's actually met before but he recognises the name well enough to know who it is, so he slides out of his seat and heads over to Mike, holding out his hand.

"Mike? I'm Isaac, I guess we're partners." he doesn't know much about the other guy, only that he's in one of the fraternities on campus, and they're not exactly the type of people who usually cross paths with lonely little academics like himself, so he really hopes this won't be as painful as it has the potential to be.

Mike was busy putting his stuff away when Isaac walked up to him. He glances up at the guy. It's not somebody he recognizes. But at least he knows who he is, so he stands up and sticks out his hand.

"Yeah I'm Mike," he responds with a smirk. The guy looked intelligent so perhaps this assignment wouldn't be such a chore. Mike knows that sometimes he does need to get thing explained for him twice. It's probably why the teacher set him up with Isaac, he reckons.

"Great," Isaac nods, so far so good anyway "do you have to rush off to your next class or have you got time to talk? I figure we can start work or at least exchange contact details or something so we can figure out a good time?" He's willing to make whatever concessions he needs to - he's used to being a slightly weird kid, an obsession with Greek mythology as a child singling him out long before he ever understood what it really meant, and socialising has never been the most natural thing in the world to him, so if he can get out of this with something approaching a friend that would probably be a big win.

"No, I got time, haven't gotten any more classes today," he said before croaking his head,"I do need to grab some lunch tho. Wanna join me? We can talk while eating." He then swung his back pack over his shoulder and stepped away from the table, a little stiff in his legs. He patted his legs to get some blood flowing, reliving that they were pretty tight around his well developed proportions. "Should have worn something more comfy," he complained and looked back up on Isaac.

"Great, sounds good," Isaac agrees, he's pretty hungry right now so he could go for lunch.

And then Mike draws attention to how well-fitting his jeans are and Isaac may or may not have trouble dragging his eyes away.

"Uh, yea," he clears his throat awkwardly, hoping he's not blushing. He's pretty sure he might be blushing.

"So, lunch?" he says with forced brightness, moving towards the door in the hopes he can get his cheeks under control before he has to look at Mike again.

Mike was too occupied by his pants woes to pay attention to whether Isaac blushed or not. With some effort he managed to fish his phone up from his pocket to check it. He typed back a quick message he had gotten during class as he followed Isaac. "Yeah lunch. Wanna go somewhere or did you bring your own?" he asked and glanced up from his phone and over at Isaac as he came up alongside him.

Thankfully he's managed to get himself under control by the time Mike catches up with him, and he even manages to stop himself glancing down to check out those pants again, instead he focuses firmly on Mike's face and the question at hand.

"I don't have anything so I wouldn't mind going somewhere if that's okay with you?"

"Nice. I didn't bring anything either and the cafeteria food sucks balls. What ya feeling, pasta or pizza?" he asked with a quirky smile and bumped shoulders with the other guy.

Isaac is slight enough that the bump makes him stumble slightly and he can't help but laugh, bumping Mike back.

"Pizza sounds good."

"It's good. But there's a lot of calories in them." He said and patted his stomach. "But hey every now and then it's not too bad. I know a really good place, just come along with me," he added with a smile. He then headed on to the place he liked the most. A Pizza Hut not too far away from campus. Once they were there he glanced through the menu. "You feeling for a buffet or just a regular?" he asked and looked over at Isaac.

"I guess," Isaac agrees, calorie counting was never really something he'd done, he was lucky enough that he seemed to stay relatively skinny regardless of what he ate - not that he ate that much anyway.

"Uh... I'll probably just go regular, I don't eat enough to make the buffet worth it," he laughs "what about you?"

"Me too. I try to watch what I put into me. Which is easier said than done, let me tell you. With all the beer flowing I've lost my abs. Still in good shape though but my diet is crap," he said with a chuckle as they entered the establishment.

"Trust me, you still look pretty good," Isaac tells him sincerely, gaze roaming appreciatively over Mike's form before he can actually stop himself. He realises quickly enough what he's doing and his cheeks colour slightly, he clears his throat and glances around the restaurant.

"So where do you want to sit?"

Jack's fresh off the bus (literally) and unsure where to go. Beacon Hills seemed like the best place to come after leaving his own pack, he'd heard some interesting things about the pack here and he was pretty sure if anybody was going to accept him it would be them - he just had to find them first.

Unfortunately his nose wasn't the best so he couldn't exactly track any of the wolves in the pack, his only solution is to settle himself in a coffee shop on the busiest street he can find and hope he gets lucky.

Luckily for Jack, Scott was on his way to the coffee shop that day. He just about got his double frappuccino when he caught wind of a familiar smell. He followed his nose and managed to pick Jack out of the customers in the place. Scott then walked up to the table and looked down on the fellow werewolf. He motioned towards the seat before speaking.

"I hope this seat isn't taken?" He asked as he allowed his eyes to glow Alpha red.

Given the poor state of his luck in the past, Jack is pleasantly surprised when the man who walked up to him was not only a fellow werewolf but an alpha, and presumably the alpha of the very pack he's looking to find. He sat up sharply, his own eyes flashing yellow in response, and nodded eagerly.

"Not at all, go right ahead." he motioned to the seat.

Scott sat down opposite Jack and gave the young werewolf a look over. Hus yellow eyes was a good sign. But so had Theo's eyes been so he was still a little on guard. He did smile at the eagerness though.

"I'm Scott. I haven't seen you around before. Where are you from?" He asked as he took a sip of his coffee.

"My name's Jack, I'm from a pack over in Santa Barbara," he explained, a darker expression flickering over his face for a moment before he corrects himself "I was from a pack in Santa Barbara. I... ran away..." he isn't quite sure how to explain the whole situation, not when Scott is basically a stranger, but he knows he ought to give some information.

"I was hoping to settle with another pack..."

Scott listened to Jack's story and nodded ever so slightly. He felt like there was something more to the story but he wasn't going to push it. He knew things could be bad and Jack probably had a good reason to come so far.

"We are always looking to help people," he said, still a little new to using "we" as a pack leader. "I'm sure the others will like you too. It might be odd for you tho cos my pack is different. We aren't just wolves. But humans and other creatures too."

"I'd heard something like that..." he admits, that was part of the reason he'd come here, all the talk of the beacon hills pack and the fact they didn't just have wolves. Surely a pack that accepted humans could accept him? "It wouldn't bother me."

He smiles nervously "I know it's not easy to get accepted into a pack, but I.. I don't have anywhere else to go, so whatever you need me to do to prove myself worthy, I'll do it."

"I have to say that I thought that the "God of Thunder" would be more... impressive," Ajax said as he slide into the seat opposite Thor. His voice had an distinct British accent to it and his eyes quickly went over the man in front of him. There was no sign of any fear, nothing but a smart-ass attitude. He glanced back over at his silent companions before putting his hands onto the table. He usually didn't do business with self-proclaimed heroes. But circumstances had put him into a situation where he had too. There was just certain things he couldn't do and he had people on his back, putting pressure on him. "I have a proposal for you. You see I have a little problem that I need your assistance with," he said and looked the thunder god deep into his eyes. He had to admit he was handsome. But then, he was a supposed god so he reckoned it came with the job. Still, making smart remarks was a part of his charm.

On that same note, while I'm not open to overtly sexual material due to an underage PB, most CR with Claudia that takes this "romantic" tinge will be uncomfortable, not to mention borderline inappropriate. She's essentially a grown woman in a child's body. ]

[This crack might just be possible? He's quite susceptible to manipulation and seems to attract predators. Uncomfortable and borderline inappropriate opposite painfully body-shy would be perfect. Assuming she can tolerate blood with concentrated chemical "life force" mixed in, Cloud would even be edible.

Possible or not, I would say it definitely qualifies as crack. X3]
