You just woke up from a horrid nightmare and find yourself in an unfamiliar place. The surroundings are dark and foggy.. Is this a ghost town? You run into a fellow human. You're not sure you can trust them but they're your only hope in getting some answers.

How do you proceed from there? Do you take this person along with you and make your way together through this strange place or will you opt to going solo?

((OOC: It's a ghost town with thick fog which drowns out all sound from anything not right next to you, and moving more than an arm's length away means you can't see whatever you were just next to. There are also creatures in the fog that resemble people with mouths much too large to be normal and backwards-facing fangs to hold whatever they bite. They also have long fingers ending in claws to better latch on and tear away at flesh. There is also Something in the fog that is at least twice the size of an adult with a long chain that it brandishes like a whip, the links shaped like the outlines of shields. Cellphones will buzz when one of these monsters is near even though there isn't any cell reception, and The Thing in the Fog's presence can be felt if not seen due to vibrations from its heavy footfalls.))

[ Fog isn't anything unusual, but it's easy to tell when one isn't where they're supposed to be. And sometimes, when one is cut off from their support system, they decide that they have to do whatever they can to make sure they stay safe.

To make a long story short, rather than approach Caedra like a normal person, Mirele decides to follow her at a bit of a distance, a flashlight in one hand and a knife in the other. The knife is for self defense. The flashlight is for light.

And also self defense.

Anyway, not used to the art of being super sneaky, it's probably only a matter of time before Caedra notices someone tailing her. ]

Henry sunk to his knees on seeing the landscape before him. It had been years since he'd come here, and some foolish part of him thought they really had broken his link to this place forever. But apparently, he wasn't that lucky.

He didn't cry or yell, he just sighed and picked himself back up, taking inventory. His weapons were gone, of course, but he did have a flashlight. His BPRD flak jacket should help against some things, at least. The military uniform was going to be good for the inevitable muck. ...and his ring was gone.

Goddamnit, he didn't want to do this again.

He looked up at the road in front of him, watching ashes fall gently from the sky like snow. There was a figure in the distance, standing next to a beat-up, obviously dead car. That's...probably not a monster. Henry walked towards him.

Henry woke up lying on a bench in a diner, blinking his eyes open with grogginess. Where- no, what happened? He could barely remember what he was doing. Holing up in his room? So why was he here?

He shifted his legs to a sitting position and squinted out the window. "What..."

That was as far as he got. His peripheral vision caught someone else in the broken-down diner, splayed out and seemingly unconscious in a rusted-out chair. "Mitchell?" Henry brushed the hair back from his eyes to make sure he was seeing it all correctly.

[Arkady here could make for a good Silent Hill villain that you don't initially realize is a villain. He comes in two flavors:

1) A creepy skeletal man who is in Silent Hill to find a way to resurrect his dead brother.
2) A handsome nobleman who was drawn to Silent Hill for other reasons.

I'm familiar with all the Silent Hill games, so we could modify the plot of SH4, or go with a more "traditional" Silent Hill experience, a la the first three games.]

Bennet's tone brooks no argument, but after the time he's spent already in this place he doesn't have the strength left to force Barnes to come if the man tries to fight him.
