He didn't prepare enough for this. Surely there must be sexting techniques or advice he could look up, even if he has to burn his phone or computer after rather than risk anyone finding his search history. If he's been too demanding - it comes so naturally to him - and Takao is put off by it in this context, his failure will be because he didn't do enough to ensure his success.

If they were face to face, the reply that finally arrives would have earned him a sharp, "Takao!" for being too...much. It's just too much.

How many? Sounds like you're wondering if I can handle something bigger. But I want to take my time and work my way down there. If I'm in your lap it'll be hard not to notice when you're getting wound up. I'll get a feel for what gets you going.

[Another automatic reaction that he decides to leave in his message because Takao deserves it after saying it like that. He also deserves it for the crime of being right in his own way. Midorima is certainly learning a few things about himself.]

[As usual, being told to shut up doesn't do much to stop him. A new pattern is forming, one of teasing him, then following up with something a little more on-point, just in case he might otherwise get offended enough to break the mood. That's the problem with pure text; it doesn't have the same inescapable velocity of images or reality.

And also some things are just embarrassing to write. Almost more embarrassing than just doing them. So he might need to build up the nerve to admit to some things, things he's sure are already known, by heckling him a little.]

But I don't mind spoiling you. I could sit in your lap and lick and stroke you for a long time. I might say some stuff that sounds like flattery but you know I really admire you in some ways, don't you?

[The first part is easy to counter. Midorima can just fall back on his earlier excuse and this time use it to cover what he can only assume would be an inability to stop himself from reaching out and touching Takao.]

If you're serving me well, you should get an occasional reward. I do know that when it comes to sexual matters, being selfish is not the path to success.

It goes without saying that my shooting is admirable.

[One would think that laughing that hard would distract from the other physical reactions he was having, but Takao finds that not to be the case. It's so clinical. It's so painfully, hilariously clinical, enough that his hand has to clutch at his stomach and eventually wipe at his eyes, but as it tapers off he finds his face feeling a little warmer, for reasons that he can't brush off as the usual breathlessness of laughing. His satisfied smirk that seems unusually closer to a genuine, warm smile also lingers. Shin-chan being Shin-chan has him feeling oddly more at ease.]

Not what I'm talking about right now. It's amazing but it doesn't give me a boner and I don't get off to it.

[Feeling more at ease, he doesn't force himself to try more euphemistic wording to suit his tastes. If Shin-chan can be Shin-chan, he can be himself.]

[It is only through practicing self-control that is almost as admirable as his shooting that he doesn't yell at Takao for that foray into bluntness. He doesn't understand how recording himself last night was easier than talking about the specifics of what they might do to each other and how that makes them feel.]

I would hope not as that would make our next game difficult.

I'm talking about your body. If I was sitting in your lap and taking my time, I could spend a lot more time than you'd probably want just on your chest and shoulders.

You insisted you weren't talking about my basketball skills, but the physical condition of my shoulders and chest is closely related.

Of course that would be frustrating and I would demand you move on.

It'd be the end of my career if I got this bad over every amazing basketball player.
