It's quiet around the mansion on days when a team is in the field, and the kids have papers to do. Being a graduate has its advantages, namely, no papers.

Jubilee had seen Wolverine headed for the dock earlier, and had given him his space. She doesn't need to cling to his belt loops anymore but he needs someone to remind him that he's loved, no matter how gruff and angry he gets.

So, she grabs a pair of beers out of the fridge and wanders down toward the docks on the lake. She knows that he hears her coming. She wonders what he's brooding on tonight, if anything. Or if he'd just wanted the peace and quiet of the docks, compared to the constant buzz of activity around the Mansion.

Sitting next to him, she puts the beers between him and her, dangling her feet in the water. Jubilee doesn't say anything, because she knows that she doesn't need to.

In truth it’s been awhile since he’s actually dated— something he expected his father had a hand in when he had gotten that completely random call about an invite to a dinner party with a friend of the family.
