Accidentally in love
![]() |
Perhaps you're the kindest, most love-filled person in the world. Or, on the other hand, you may be a calculating, cold villain. Most likely, you fall somewhere in the middle. But for this meme, everyone in this spectrum has one thing in common: you feel love towards someone. Not a facade, not even lust, but real, true love. This, of course, complicates things, yet your love is all-consuming and cannot be ignored. How To Play:
Prompts: 1. First Love: You've never felt love before, at least not romantic love. 2. Been Burned Before: You had a relationship or loved someone before, and it didn't go well. 3. Fighting It: Nope. You don't want love. Not gonna happen. 4. Confession: You decide not to fight it. Instead, you just want to give in and tell the person, for better or for worse. Good thing they love you back... 5. Courtship: You want to take it slow, so you're doing the dating thing. Awww, how sweet. 6. Do That To Me One More Time: The obligatory smut option. You're using the physical to show the emotional. 7. I Don't Deserve You: You don't think you deserve the affection of the amazing, perfect person who loves you, disgusting and horrible and broken you. 8. Forbidden: It had to be here. You're both members of different factions, species, classes, and so on. But nothing will stand in the way of your feelings unless you let it. 9. Be My Bad Boy: Similar to the above but one of you is "good" while the other is "evil." Despite this, your relationship is just as strong and just as pure as anyone else's. 10. For Your Own Good: We all know the romance trope. One party must leave the other, though they still love them desperately. They must make their love hate them for their own good. 11. Trying to Make It Work: Through good times and bad, you've decided to work together for what you feel, because you know you'll only ever love this person. 12. Back Together: You only had room for one person in your heart, and they were the one that got away. Now, though, you have another chance. 13. I Refuse to Leave: Sometimes, even true love isn't all that good. Sometimes it's destructive and painful, and the person you love isn't the one who's good for you. But they love you, and you can't leave. 14. Keep Your Hands Off!: You have to defend your partner, and you won't let anyone stand in the way. 15. Marry You: You've decided to make things permanent. You're getting married to this person, or whatever other bonding ceremony applies. 16. Doomed: You are seeing this love through to the end, even if you know one of you is dying, being taken away, or otherwise gone from the picture. 17. Wildcard |

12 (can I get this to work this time?)
But that was the reason it was time to explore it now. When the wave of excitement in the tiny village became too much to bear, he spotted that familiar path, waited for the crowd's attention to be drawn elsewhere (Rikku, undoubtedly), and sidestepped a bush, taking Yuna's hand.
"This way!"
She probably knew where they were going far better than he did, but that was the fun of it all.
Re: 12 (can I get this to work this time?)
She knew about the path but she's never traveled down it. Yuna had assumed that it lead up the rocky cliff side or towards one of the waterfalls on the island. Now they'd find out what was at the end of the winding path.
It’s been so long since she had lost Tidus and yet it felt as if nothing had changed. He made her heart tremble in her chest and brought a smile to her lips.
Her fingers wrapped around his as he grabbed her hand, her steps bringing him to his side as they slipped away from the village. It was difficult being so well known, for both of them, and Yuna honest welcomed the chance for them to be alone. As the distance between them and the village grew, Yuna dared to speak, though her voice didn’t rise above a whisper.
"Tidus." There was a light warmth to his name whenever Yuna spoke it. "Where are we going?" It was a silly question but Yuna didn’t care. She felt excitement flutter through her limbs, adding speed and urgency to her steps.

But maybe that wasn't such a bad thing. It had been far too long...and far too strange, in that odd hazy afterlife of existence the last two years. He'd caught a glimpse of Yuna briefly when that odd doppelganger of his had reached her, and he'd wanted to strange him.
What was with creeps and being drawn to her, anyway? But she'd taken perfectly good care of herself. And now, thanks to her, he was home where he belonged. At her side, where he never wanted to leave again. They slipped through the trees and reached a steep cliff, but there was a clear if narrow walking path up it.
"I think we can climb that, don't you?" Now that was a question he never would've asked two years ago. But the Yuna before him was changed---still sweet and beautiful as ever, but a rough and tumble adventurer too. He couldn't stop looking at her, smiling that excited smile. And he really didn't want to stop.

It took so long to get here. She's fought hard and now she dared to let herself hope for a little bit of peace and quite. She knew that Rikku or Paine would make fun of her for it but that's what she wanted. A chance to live, with Tidus at her side. It was the perfect ending to her story. If not an ending, the start of a new story that they would share.
She looked around them, mapping the path with the parts of the island that she knew. When they reached the cliff she smiled. She knew this path though she's never walked on it before.
Her mismatched gaze turned to Tidus and she bobbed her head in a decisive nod. "Yeah." Her hand released his and she pulled herself up the cliff face, glancing down only once to flash Tidus a playful grin.

He watched her climb with an awed expression (and maybe more than a little interest), then squatted, stretched, and followed as gracefully as he could.
"I've only been solid for like two hours. Little out of practice here," he laughed, rolling and bounding to his feet. There wasn't much room in this particular spot, but he stuck close, sighing with relief when the path opened a little wider just around the corner. He could hold her hand again.
And what a perfect spot for it, too! They were well hidden by the greenery and rusting ruins here, and a river rushed by their feet. Not that he was about to jump in, what with all the lurking fish fiends, but he followed the path. At last they were alone, and he couldn't wait another moment before taking her hand again.
"Y'know, this has always been a real pretty island...but to be honest most of the time what caught my eye was you," he admitted. Even at the very beginning. "And that hasn't changed a bit."
His eyes were on her and her alone, of course.

"You're doing good." She teased him with a warm smile before turning to follow the path. She's never seen the island from up here before.
Her pace slowed when Tidus took her hand. She wanted to savor a moment alone with him, hidden in the cliffs where no one could find them.
Yuna's smile widened as she bashfully looked away.
"I can't believe you're really here." She admitted as her gaze rose to meet his. "I've spent so much time trying to find you but I only found trouble instead." It was almost normal for her to land herself in the middle of a complication that she can't just ignore. "I'm glad you're back Tidus."
She paused and rested her head against Tidus's shoulder. "I've missed you."

He curled his free hand at her neck, gentle fingers carding through her hair.
"I heard your whistle, every time. I wanted to go to you more than anything. But I couldn't. Not until you fell in---it was all I could do to help you get back to the others."
He brushed her forehead with a light kiss.
"I never want to leave you again, Yuna. I love you, more than anything."
no subject
She felt the soft brush of his lips against her forehead and her eyes closed.
"I love you too." Her voice was only a whisper. The last time she had spoken those words was the day that he had disappeared and she could do nothing to stop it. If she had known back then, maybe they could have found another way. It didn't matter now, they were together again, but ti was a thought that often burrowed its way into Yuna's mind.
"You'll never have to leave again."
Yuna opened her eyes and looked up at Tidus. She was smiling.
she lifted herself onto her toes and pressed her lips softly against his.
She would never stop loving him.

He'd promised her that so long ago, after their first kiss under the glittering trees. Having to break it had broken his heart almost as much as it had hers.
But that pain was blessedly in the past now, and the confident touch of her lips cemented that. This wasn't desperate comfort and passion fighting tragedy anymore, this was a victory...and he intended to savor it as such.
So his kiss was gentle at first, like before, but once they were comfortable he grinned against her lips as the only warning before picking her up, holding her closer than he'd ever dared to.

The kiss was perfect. It wasn't like the last time they had kissed, when they knew that it might be the first and last kiss they ever shared. It was a silent hello and then, as it deepened, a promise. They could finally have something more.
They could have a life together.
Her arms circled his neck and a soft surprised gasp broke their kiss as he picked her up. Yuna smiled and quickly captured his mouth in a hungry, less shy kiss. How many times had she dreamed of being with him again... kissing him? It was better than she remembered and she never wanted to let him go again.
Her tongue dragged playfully against his as she deepened their kiss.

Fortunately, they were both experts at holding their breaths, so this could go quite a while (and did), but he did eventually want to say something. So he reluctantly pulled away, but it wasn't long before his lips found their way to her ear.
"I missed a lot, huh? But that just means...we'll do everything we wanted to before, and more," he promised, nuzzling her neck with a satisfied little sigh.

She loved him so much.
"Yeah." Her voice was a little breathless as she nuzzled the curve of his neck. She smelled the ocean on him and her arms tightened, just a little. "I'll catch you up."
Yuna smiled against his neck. "It all started, when I saw this sphere of you." She knew that she'd be able to hold him again.
