Grooming is an important part of many species' rituals. It keeps them clean, healthy, and content. And a good bath? It can change the whole tone of a day from terrible to relaxed and blissful. But nudity is sometimes viewed as a weakness - and it is almost always sexualized - so bathing is often kept a private matter. If you do share these moments with someone, they're almost always a significant other or a sexual partner. Like you're doing now. Whether it be after a battle or after sex (or before sex, even), the two of you are going to get clean. Be sure to help each other out with that, won't you? After all, there are places on the back that just can't be reached... HOW TO PLAY: Comment with your character, your prefs, etc. If there are other grooming-related practices or kinks you'd like to include, like shaving, hair washing, mention them! Reply to others!

It wasn't unusual for Pamela to invite Koriand'r over to her home to spend a day or two with just the two of them hanging out. While their situations were very different the two did share that they stuck out like a sore thumb and their ideas about Earth culture were very different from their respective comrades. Especially when it came to the necessity to be clothed at all times or that there should be any embarrassment with nudity to begin with. Pamela's home was one place Kori could go to and she didn't have to worry about her eccentricities causing any embarrassment for those around her. In fact Pamela encouraged her more often than not.

Her home was also the perfect place for a bath. Pamela had gotten an old apartment building that the city of Gotham was just going to tear it down and turned it into her base of operations. The top floor had been converted into a very large bath. Well it was more like a small lake. The entire floor was covered in greenery with a bath in the middle. Above was a skylight that let in the light of the afternoon sun.

Right now they were taking advantage of that bath. Pamela stood behind Koriand'r, pushing her hair to the side with one hand while using a cloth to rub in soap with the other. "So how have you been? Anything interesting happen lately?" It was just small talk, but she was legitimately interested. Pamela was busy with the League and Kori busy with the Titans so it was always a treat to catch up when they could.

[It's a valid if rhetorical question, he thinks, considering the circumstances. Nate was never one to cash in on luxury even when it was available, because there was always an element of guilt born from not having much and subsequently worrying about being wasteful. (Not that bathing in itself is wasteful, but a tub that's an actual tub and not some bathfitter combination thing is pretty extravagant. Makes him think of five-star hotels and people he used to lift jewelry from at museum galas. Lifestyles of the rich and stupid.)

He knows the real answer is that it came with the apartment and Matt being Matt means that he rarely uses it over the convenient efficiency of a shower, but Nate is talkative on every day that ends with a 'y' and he's already made himself pretty comfortable in the porcelain.

The water is hot and he hisses as it reaches recent cuts that haven't yet healed, reminders that his last trip to Argentina was anything but uneventful. He cups a handful of water and releases it, glancing across the bathroom at Matt.]

Gabriel had kept his word, on their next mission to someplace nice, they took the time to see some sights. Felt extremely strange being out in broad daylight especially since there was still a possibility someone might recognize him, but he relaxed enough to where he actually enjoyed himself.

After dinner from a food truck, they returned to the hotel, Gabriel letting Sombra bathe first after the humid day. He sat up from bed when she called and he came to the door, rolling his eyes at her request. She’d forgotten her clothes. Going over to her suitcase, he picked out her pajamas and knocked before coming in, closing the toilet seat and setting them down atop it, politely keeping his eyes off her.

[He only pops by every once in a while, typically after he's had a rough go of things and needs to let off some steam. Most times they just end up talking, but Clara's not against things getting a little more physical if both their moods call for it. When he surprised her by showing up at her apartment tonight, she didn't feel much like talking. Thing is, she also didn't think it seemed like a situation where ushering him right into bed was warranted.

So instead she just goes about her typical nightly routine. She finishes grading some of her students' papers, and makes them both some tea. She figures he knows that he's more than welcome to stay the night if he wants, but she doesn't tell him so. She just takes him by the hand and leads him to the bathroom, where she helps him get undressed and into a tub of hot water. The tub is large enough for the both of them, but she doesn't hop right on in with him. Instead, she sits on the edge of the tub behind him, legs dangling on either side of him so her feet stick in the water.

With a cup in one hand and a brush in the other, she sets to washing his hair. It's more than a little intimate and she wonders if it's making him squirm. So her question comes across a little teasing just because she wants to put him at ease.]

But he had never bathed with anyone that wasn't Arthur or from the orphanage.]

Haa, I warned you to be careful. [The teen sighed as he carefully scrubbed Akira's bruised cheek, the mark bright and angry looking on his pale skin. A scowl appeared on Mordred's face as he gazed at it, unhappy that he had not been able to respond fast enough to protect him.]
